2k7 is a solid game imo. The major problem is the farm system. I can't stand having full AAA teams and only 2-4 players on their AA squad (can't really develop prospects that way). Although 2k8's graphics may not be up to par with 2k7, I was happy to see full minors, top 100 prospects, etc.

So for me its: 2k8, 2k7, 2k9 (borrowed it for 3 days...not a bad game, but wasn't for me).

            Re: MLB 2K7>>>MLB 2K8 Post- Patch>>> MLB 2K9

ok I'm kinda confused now lol, here's my story before I continue: I dont have 2k7, 2k8 nor 2k9. Not cause I didnt want em or anything. I was gonna get 2k7 but it was like 2-3 months before 2k8 released so I just decided to wait and get that. 2k8 releases but all I heard was complaints and everything lol so I didnt even bother getting it and just was gon wait for 2K9, cause I heard rumors that they were going to get help and everything. Now I'm hearing that 2K9 is slightly better than 2K8 but ppl give the nod to 2k8 lol.

So my question is, aside from updated rosters and all of that type stuff ( I can do that myself) which one should I get ?

I'm kinda kicking myself I should've just went ahead and got 2k7 lol

I cannot understand anyone thinking 2K8 is better than 2K9.

2K7 gameplay wise is miles better than 2K8 and 2K9. The farm system and framerate are the only things that holds it back.

I have to agree. After the patch and adjusting sliders I love this game. Can it be improved? Absolutely. Can it be frustrating at times, yeah. Though when it comes down to it the game itself is fun and addicting. Cursor hitting is a blast with realistic results once u get used to it and get the sliders right, also the pitching now is great. I think the game is a solid 6.5 to 7. It loses points with me cause I like franchise mode, which is not all that it can be. What you get in the end is a fun game to play with an ok franchise mode. The one thing I can say that is a testament to the enjoyment level you can get out of the gameplay is that I play alot of games during my seasons in franchise. In most sports games for me, I play about 5 to ten games a season, but get to ansy and want to see my guys progress and do the offseason stuff. This game on the other hand I find myself playing about 20 or more a season.
