Anyone have good extra innings duel?

Thought I would share mine, awesome game!!!

I was the Cards, CPU was Pirates!

Highlights: The CPU scored 2 runs in 1st inning and one in the 6th inning. Zach Duke had me shut out through 8 innings giving up only 3 hits. CPU took him out in 9th, probably tired! So I came back from 3-0 deficit in bottom of ninth to tie it, only because I could not hit off Zach Duke and was able to hit finally.

10th inning both teams left runner(s) on base!

11th inning Pirates have runner on third with no outs, I get out of that one!!

12th inning I have the bases loaded with no outs and could not get a hit!

13th inning I win the game with two outs and runner on third when Pujols hits a high liner to first base and it goes right off the top of the glove of LaRoche and hits the ground!!!

    13 Innings
    Pirates 3 13 1
    Cards 4 13 0

Re: Anyone have good extra innings duel?

well. this one i lost in the bottom of the 10th. butttttt

pitchers duel throughout whole game, Lester vs. Verlander

Lester blows up in the 6th, gives up 4 runs, bring in Manny Delcarmen, he shuts them down.

Verlander on the other hand is throwing a shutout. Only 3 hits against him.

9th inning. Last chance. Pedroia singles.
Papi hits a groundball (crap) but the shortstop doesn't handle it well and can only get Pedroia out at 2nd.

    1 Out.

Youkilis up, doubles! Now i'm telling myself, he's not getting a shutout, at least score one run.

J.D Drew, crushes one to right. 3-4 Tigers still but man!!

pitching change, Joel Zumaya called in to face Bay...that doesn't work.

Bay blasts his first pitch like 100 mph fastball over the left field wall in comerica.

amazing...but like i said, i lost it in the next inning. but still i loved the comeback.

    Tigers 5 9 1
    Red Sox 4 7 0

Re: Anyone have good extra innings duel?

Re: Anyone have good extra innings duel?

Had a 16-inning, 1-0 shutout win in my fantasy draft franchise.

I was the D-Backs, against the Phillies. Going into the game I KNEW it was going to be a pitcher's duel. Felix Hernandez (PHI) against Zack Greinke (ARI). Greinke is my #2 pitcher, but is the real ace of my bullpen.

Felix went 9 innings, allowed 4 hits, 2 walks, and struck out 6.
Greinke went 8 innings, allowed 7 hits, 1 walk and K'd 5. I don't have the stats now cause this was weeks ago (in my franchise, but earlier today). The 7 hits didn't drive any runs because Greinke kept getting good ground-outs into double plays.

Highlights: Bottom 15th, I had the bases loaded with no outs. Vlad Guerrero came up to bat, and Mariano River struck him out. Then had a long battle (about 8 pitches I believe) against Helton which led to a double play to end the inning. I went NUTS in anger.

The game ended in the bottom 16th, when Griffey had a triple on a DEEP fly ball which missed a HR by inches. And then Morgan Ensberg singled him in. It was Ensberg's lone hit of the night, he went 1-7.

P.S. Varitek (my starting C) got injured in the top 15th, and I had already used Lo Duca (backup C) as a pinch hitter. So Aaron Boone caught for the top 16th. It was horrible. He had like 2 passed balls.

          Final:
          16 Innings
          Phillies 0 12 3
          D-Backs 1 13 2

Re: Anyone have good extra innings duel?

14 innings w/ the Mets vs. the Reds. I was down 3-1 w/ 2 outs in the 9th with a runner on 2nd and Wright hits a 2 run HR to send the game into extras. I had a chance to score in the 10th, 11th, and 13th inning and failed to do so. The Reds scored a run in the top of the 14th and I was down 4-3. 14th inning man on 1st two outs and boom Wright hits his 2nd 2 run HR of the night this time to win the game!!! He ended the day 3-7 with 2 HR's and 5 RBI's (all my runs in the game came from Wright) Delgado and Beltran were a combined 0-13 with an intentional walk to Beltran.

                Finally started my 'chise.

Opening day in Chi vs. White Sox - I was the Royals.

Score was tied 5-5 after 9.

10-13 no runs, hits or errors

Top of the 14th Crisp homers to put Royals up 6-5

Bot of 14th Dye homers to tie it up

                15-17 nothing

18th I hit three doubles in a row to go up 8-6

Bot of 18th Sox hit a triple to lead off and then a single to make it 8-7. I bring in my last no name reliever and he saves it.

Honestly it was one of the best games of video baseball I have ever played.

My last game i brought Rivera in to close a 6-4 game..allowed 1 run so 6-5 there was 2 outs they loaded the bases Rivera was wild couldnt get the cutter going. Rios had a 3-0 count with bases loaded got a fastball by him looking then he grounded a 2 seamer to 2nd to end the game.

Re: Anyone have good extra innings duel?

Yeah, I had a game where I had it 3-2 going into the top of the 8th. (Yankees against Baltimore). In the 8th, Felix Pie singled into right and scored Melvin Mora I think, tying it at 3-3. In the bottom of the 8th, I scored a run on an RBI single by Robinson Cano, and took the lead 4-3. In the 9th, Rivera hit a batter, who eventually ended up tying it on a sac fly, tying it at 4-4.

We both went 1,2,3 until the bottom of the 10th, when I singled with Damon, doubled with Tex, and had Arod walked to load the bases with 0 outs. In the 3rd pitch of his at bat, Matsui put one on the ground and the Orioles pitcher throw home and then they went to first for the double play. So Nick Swisher came up with 2nd and 3rd, 2 down in the inning. He scorched one into the gap, but somehow Markakis ran it down and caught it. So I had blown a bases loaded, 0 outs situation in extra innings.

The Orioles threatened in the 11th, but I got out of the jam with John Albaladejo. In the bottom of the 11th, I drew a walk with Jorge Posada, and moved him over to second with a bunt by Cano, and to third with a bunt by Melky Cabrera. So with two outs, and a runner at third, I had Jeter up and the winning run at third. On a 2-1 pitch, Jeter singled up the middle, and I won 5-4. It was probably the best game I've ever played in.
