MLB 2k9 Crowd Chants Thread: Do The Fans Really Use These?

These chants have been carried over since 2k7. but COMEON. do we really use these chants during ballgames?

This thread, please put down the team, and the chants for certain players that aren't used at the ballpark, and chants that SHOULD be used.

    For example.

    My Boston Red Sox.

David Ortiz: "Here We Go David, Here We Go" I'm sorry, but no, i don't think we've ever called him by his first name...and "Gooooo. Papii..Goooo Papii"

J.D Drew: there are no chants for him, but in the game it's "J...D...Drewwwwwwwwwwww, J....D...Drewwwwwww"

Rocco Baldelli: "Rocco Rocco Rocco Rocco" even though he's new this year, still never heard that before even in tampa.

Josh Beckett: after he gets 5 K's the crowd chants "Beckett Beckett Beckett"

All in all, chants they SHOULD have are

Kevin Youkilis "YOUUUUUUUUUUK" whenever he comes up to bat or makes a big play

Dustin Pedroia: early in the season got MVP chants at home.

there really aren't a lot of player chants in general. I know that "Lets Go Red Sox" chants are started on their own without an organ, or the claps that increasingly get faster.

the only chant i like, is when jeter is up to bat in fenway "Dereekkkkkkkkkkk" idk if its only fenway they do that for him, but i hope so.

What are some other teams players chants that really DON't happen...one ridiculous one was in Detroit for Magglio Ordonez "MAGGGLIOOOO OOOEEEEOOO"hahaa

NEW CROWD RECORDINGS FOR MLB 2K10 PLEASE!

Haha I went to Detriot last summer for a game, and there was an obnoxious man behind us that said that everytime he came to bat. So semi-realistic haha.

ha I jsut started my franchise with the redsox and was thiknign the same thing as the crowd was giving the JD drew chant....it just sounds wrong.

I hope they do put better sounding chants (that sound like a mass of people) next year, but also important -- please have the crowd chant for longer than 1 pitch! its sound bad like that.

when they get the lets go red sox chant started, have it go in the background the entire at bat until something happens, contact is made etc. that would sound awesome and really add to the atmosphere...but the crowd noise really needs upgrading next year in general..

Well, I just played a series in Chicago against the Cubs - when I hit a homerun, they would chant, "Throw it back! Throw it back!"

The Magglio chant is actually real and somewhat common at Tigers' games. Its something like oh-ee-oh MAGGGGLLIOOOO and I'm pretty sure that it very similar to how it is in portrayed in the game. It was actually first used when Magglio played for the White Sox and then came with him to Detroit.

Does anyone know if they chant LAAAAARRRRRRRYYYYY for Chipper at Citi Field? That was always my favorite. I'm not even a Mets fan either.

I'm not sure...I want to say yes, but I may be thinking of The Show. I know at least one of them has that in there.

On this subject...Where the heck is the "Tomahawk Chop" in Atlanta???

They been doing that for years and is known in Atlanta since 1991. Even a shorter version I've seen in an old game called MLBPA for the Super NES.

I don't think they have the lets go mets who chant. It would be cool to here. They do have the jose chant though. It would also be cool to hear the crowd chant Raaaaauuuuulllllll in Philly.
