Re: Resting players
I haven't noticed a drop in production but I usually try 2 give my guys a break when their fatigue gets around 80 or lower.NFL: Bills

Re: Resting players
I don't think that production falls at all. I think that the lower the fatigue the greater the risk of injury...
With that said I've pretty much played Utley in every game through the ASB, and his fatigue never drops below 75%. He's healthy and hasn't gotten injured (knock on wood).Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

While I was typing my post earlier, and talking about Utley I said in my head... "He'll probably get injured now...watch"...
Sure enough in the 7th inning of a hm gm vs the Cubbies, Utley slides into 3rd and has to leave w/ a foot injury. Cole Hamels had already left the game w/ an abdomen injury after pitching only 1.2 innings - w/ a 1-0 lead. After Utley got injured Bruntlett was hit by pitch in the back and had to leave the game.
I had heard someone else on here mention that when one person goes down they start to drop like flies...sure enough...
So now Utley is out for 54 days, and placed on the 60 day DL w/ a meta-something foot fracture. I should have him back by mid-September w/ about 12 or so games left. Hamels injury was only an 8 days playable one, and Bruntlett a 4 day playable one.
Tadihito Iguchi and Eric Bruntlett will platoon at 2B in Utley's absence.
To start this game, the 2nd after the ASB, Utley's fatigue was @ 91%. I go almost 2 months playing him @ 75%, come into this thread and open my big mouth, and on a whopping 91% fatigue he fractures his foot...
The only silver lining is that after my 8-6 loss to the Cubs, I simmed the rest of July; winning that Cubs series, sweeping the Cards, losing to ARI, and taking 2 of 4 from SF w/ the remaining two games to begin August. That puts me 1.5 gms up on the Mets in the NL East...damn this is going to be tough.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Resting players
About that production, maybe just a coincidence, but I gave longoria, upton, crawford, and pena a rest. First game back halladay holds me to 1 run, but then the next game longoria hits a homer and one off the wall. Upton and crawford also hit one.Comment
