    Pitching?

How do you guys pitch. I find myself getting stuck in the same rut. If I have a righty-righty matchup, I start out with a fastball low and away. Then I try to get them to chase a slider away. If that works for two strikes , then another fastball, this one high and in. If they don't bite on that, I throw a curveball.
If I have a righty- lefty matchup, I do the same. I just insert change-up in place of the slider.
Just looking to see what everyone else does. Like I said I find myself doing the same thing over and over.

      Re: Pitching?

If you want to get out of that rut, use IE. Depending on the matchup (my pitcher's strengths vs the hitters weaknesses) I tend to attack the weaker hitters and work around the better guys. It also depends on situation as well.

IE helps you "Scout" who should be worried about and who you can take chances on. Also, if you find yourself still patterning, intentionally make subtle changes. Instead of low and away, go down and in...or middle away, etc. If you have a good secondary pitch, start them out with it and "reverse pitch" the hitter.

There are plenty of good ways to get yourself out of those habits.
