Started playing a few days ago. Playing on all star...
I can't get an extra base hit to save my life. I have no doubles and three triples with Alfonso Soriano. The gaps don't exist, and the defense always seems to be in perfect position and they make at least 10 to 15 diving stops every game. Meanwhile, my outfielders can't cover ground for nothing.
It seems as though any pitcher I have that doesn't possess a mid 90's fastball can't get a swing and miss. Zambrano and Harden I do great with, Lilly and Marshall have gotten absolutely hammered. I've got two wins, and they're by Big Z and Harden in shut out fashion.
There is no power to be heard of, meanwhile my opponent is taking a slider off the outside corner, in ball territory, and they're pulling it over the fence. I've hit three home runs with the Cubs in 7 games, while my opponents have hit 14. I get that Ryan Theriot isn't that strong, but Fontenot and Reed Johnson and Fukudome should be good enough to at least hit the ball out 15 times every year. A warning track shot is even rare with the likes of Soriano and Ramirez.
Stealing isn't really a problem. And I won't get into drawing a walk.
Guess the big question is, what are good sliders that seem to make for a more realistic experience, and more realistic stats?
