    Inside edge

I turned inside edge on and was wondering what the green squares mean when I am batting? When I am pitching the squares are blue and red to signify hot and cold.

The green squares when batting signify the location of where the pitcher will likely pitch the ball.

I wondered about the batting as well. So green squares indicate where the pitcher is likely to pitch (but not definitely), so then what about the tan and red squares? Are those the maybe, and definitely not zones?

BTW, on the pitching I would pull up the batter inside edge profile, those red and blue squares do not match up quite right. I would rely on the more detailed screen for your decision making.

From what I've observed, the squares not only show you where the pitch is going to be thrown, but WHAT pitch will be thrown.

As you've probably noticed (or SHOULD have noticed), whenever you throw or take a fastball, it always flashes across as green. Similarly, curve balls come across as red, sliders come across as yellow, changeups come across as gray, and 2-seam fastballs come across as blue.

These colors will vary for pitchers. Sometimes the slider is red. Sometimes the changeup is yellow. Sometimes the 2-seam fastball is green, but they typically fall into these categories.

The GREEN squares show you that the pitcher is going to throw a fastball

The RED squares show you that the pitcher is going to throw a curveball.

          etc., etc., etc.

And no, the pitcher isn't ALWAYS going to throw to one of these spots and he's not ALWAYS going to throw the pitch indicated, but once again, my experience is that the squares give you a general idea and can be very helpful, hence the investment into Inside Edge.
