Getting Players to Heal After Injury

So I know there is a bug or "Feature" where a guy won't heal unless he goes to "rehab" in the minors, right? I had a pitcher get injured for 5 days, so I left him on the roster, sent him to the minors and called up a new starter, played 6 games, called him back up...and he's still hurt. What's up with that? What else do I need to do? He is listed now as hurt for 1 day and has been for 3 days now without changing. How do I get him to heal???

It would be cool if this was a feature, and the issues revolved around "rehabbing" but it's a glitch. The fix I've found is to turn injuries OFF when the player is at one game, and then sim through the next day and usually this takes care of it right there.

Sometimes, for whatever reason, I've had to sim for more than just one day even though on the injury report it stated 1 day.

Doing this has worked time and time again. Don't forget to turn injuries back ON if you do like playing w/ them on - I do.

Re: Getting Players to Heal After Injury

Seriously I have the same problem, 5 of my pitchers have been injured, once 4 got off the DL they stayed injured for 1 day but have been stuck like that for months in the season. I turned injuries off, but it only prevents new injuries rather than "healing" old ones. Now every game I play I have to go through the list and keep all 5 of my pitchers on the roster.

Another thing I've noticed, and has been a major problem for me is that a couple of my aforementioned injured pitchers are relievers, and if I go to sub them into a game it won't work. They'll get up warm in the bullpen, then I hit sub pitcher and comes with the box "he is injured but well enough to play" I hit put him in anyway, but he never goes in. That is the only thing in this game that is annoying me.
