I don't think it is possible.

I thought this was the left bumper on X-Box 360? The Manual says that the LB gets rid of the pitching overlay. I haven't tried it so I don't know what that means, but might be worth a shot

nah, the LB just gets rid of the pitch gestures display, not the baseball icon which tracks pitch location or breakpoint. there is a way to lock pitch location (R2 on PS3, i think) while still moving around the icon, but no way to make the icon fade while moving it around. i can't understand the logic behind taking this out. anyway, there is still a workaround.

You're right, you're right. And here I do that EVERY game and I just wasn't thinking. Like he said, just gotta lock that pitch location with the right trigger and hope to fake the other player out!

This has been a big complaint amongst those I play 2-player games, and with good reason. I would hope the optional cursor and/or fading cursor makes its way back into 2K10. The good news is there is at least another option (the locking of pitches). An added tip, a pitch can be locked as many times as needed, so if you feel your opponent has a beat on your original lock, you can in fact re-lock by pressing RT in another location.
