hitting homeruns in mlb 2k9?

i have not been able to hit homeruns in mlb 2k9 (just 4 in 14 games)

i was playin on pro difficulty my first game (btw i just got the game saturday 6/12) i hit three homers includin one wit tim hudson so i switched to SF Giants v2 sliders from 2k share.....power is at 70 but im jus hitting doubles but no homeruns
is there a special technique you use to hit those big fly
i simulated my franchise(atlanta braves) to the current reds/braves series
chipper had 8 homers ive played 7 games n hes hot but havent been out of the park once

check the slider forums, BFJ sliders are the best. Also, I play with the Braves and don't expect many homeruns. They aren't a good homerun hitting team, 3rd worst in the NL in RL currently.

I had the same problem (I use Braves as well) with a lot of the slider sets I used. However, with BFJ's sliders I found myself hitting a realistic number of homeruns for the team (though Frenchie has gone homerun crazy the past few series and now has 19 through around 60 games.) Right now I'm at the same point in the season as real life and I have Chipper with 8, McCann with 9, McClouth has 9, and a few others are in the 1-6 range.

Also I don't use the left stick to aim where I'm hitting 90% of the time (unless I'm going for a sac fly or a hit n run that I'm trying to slap the other way). I also use a very low hit direction influence slider to make it not so easy to put the ball where you want to.

im using those sliders and its still the same.....had one in my last 5 games......i dnt kno wats really wrong

Try the Holy Grail Sliders....the key sliders are to turn down Inside Edge Influence, Pitcher Handness Influence, and Batting Pitch Influence for Human

Also Turn Up Pitch Zone Influence for CPU Pitcher to about 40

Maybe try cursor hitting? I was in the same situation as you, then I switched the the cursor sliders posted in the sliders forum and have hit as many as 5 in a game with them.

I'm also really struggling to hit home-runs (despite cranking out every other type of hit on a regular basis). I am reluctant to change sliders because there is something strangely addicting to earning those ridiculous player cards and slider adjustments disables that feature. I use the classic one-button hitting approach. My question is: does the controller scheme make a difference in home-run hitting?

homeruns in 2K=impossible

homeruns in The Bigs (made by 2K sports)=happen every other AB

i have been able to hit homeruns quite easily. I have noticed there is a delay though on hdtvs and not on sdtvs, with hitting being easier on a sdtv.

i cant freaking hit a single homerun. just today ryan howard had the great high and inside pitch, i had perfect timing and all and he poped it up to shallow right field. does ane one have homerun sliders. i tried the grail sliders and i cnt get them to work.
