In recent weeks, more glaring issues have started to pop up.
Its not the random errors. Its the CPU controlled response when the user is winning games.
There have been several occasions where A sure out to first base has been thrown to third base. or the random wild pitch so a man on base can advance. I now know that the Ai is about to score when these things happen. I can deal with the wild pitch. but the throw to the wrong base absolutely gets under my skin. Im not throwing to the wrong base and the plays usually isnt a rush play.
Now the more glaring issue, the ability to call a timeout to the pitchers mound or switch pitchers when the AI controlled team is rallying. Ive had this happen several times. Once the AI scores, ties or takes the lead I am then able to switch picthers. this deserves a WTF!!!!!!
I know there are some scripted aspects to a game, but a scripted end result is out of the question. When this happens the game is totally out of the players hand. Do not force an outcome to a game, and if your AI script dictates this, dont make it so obvious.
I like challenging games, I actually dont mind losing if i dont feel as though the outcome is scripted. I dont mind being upset cause Im losing fairly, There is a difference between being being upset, frustrated, and infuriating.
What MLB2k9 has become is the latter, infuriating.
By the way, the definition of infuriating is extremely annoying or displeasing; annoying, irritating, aggravating (informal) provoking, galling, maddening, exasperating, irksome, vexatious, pestilential.
