Trading is difficult in WSB 2K3

In WSB 2K3 my Reds (5-8) traded an unhappy Griffey for an elated Shawn Green. While Griffey and Green were performing similarly this season, the Reds needed to free up some bp's and bring in someone that can .... cough... hit in the clutch. So, Dunn will move to left, Kearns takes over in center and Green will be in right. "The clubhouse has never been more fun to be in", said a snickering Reggie Taylor. "Now Kearns and I will be able to platoon in center".

In other action, the lowly Cubs broke their 7 game losing streak with a 4 run rally in the bottom of the 8th, against Jimmy Haynes. "Balls have been leaving the parks ever since we started playing the Phillies a week ago", Reds manager Bob Boone said. "With Dunn doing so well as of late, I thought I would put him on the bench today", joked Boone. Unfortunately, he does that a lot

How come I don't get funny commentary like this in my WSB franchise?

When did you get these statements? This one is funny:

"In other action, the lowly Cubs broke their 7 game losing streak with a 4 run rally in the bottom of the 8th, against Jimmy Haynes. "Balls have been leaving the parks ever since we started playing the Phillies a week ago", Reds manager Bob Boone said. It seems like some sort of news, but I haven't seen anything like that in the game, other than the short little news things that just mention when someone is traded, a hit streak continues, etc.

I thought so too, but wasn't sure, since he was talking about trading and I know when trading sometimes the players make comments about being traded.

I'm betting he was writing his own commentary, too...
