Close game of WSB2K3 last night..

So it was a pitchers' duel, Mark Prior vs. Mark Buehrle. It was 0-0 going into the 4th inning, when I threw a mistake pitch for Josh Phelps that took it into the leftcenter bleacher seats. I manged to get runners into scoring position 2-3 times between then and the 8th inning, but failed to convert, until the 8th inning when I lead to bottom half of the 8th off with a double, but Mark Prior, I put a shot through the infield and scored Prior tying it up, I warmed up Mike Myers. I go into the 10th, tied at 1, no scoring. I enter the 10th inning, and hold them, and get my 2nd out on my second batter, then I rope a double, then next batter hits a single and scores the runner on second, thus winning me the game 2-1... by far the best game I've played yet!

Any of you got some good games to tell about?

Don't mean to deter your topic, but what level do you play on? And what system of hitting do you use?

My bad... I play on All-Star, timed hitting, no pitch preview, very fast pitching. I got games I get a ton of hits and allow a ton of hits, but then I get games likes these too, and it just kicks ***! lol

Oh, and I'm playing it on PS2.

Thats cool. I tried playing it this way (the settings that you described).

                1. Nothing to do with timed hitting. But in WSB my pitchers struck out way too many batters. It seemed that the AI can't hit a changeup to save its life, even from a pitcher with a average/below average changeup

                2. Timed hitting. I like this system, because I don't like the feel of curser style hitting. Ack, who am I kidding, I'll strike out about 17 times a game using this method. But timed hitting shouldn't be this easy. I only played about 10 games, but my scores were nuts. Tons of homeruns/hits/runs. Didn't even have something as much as a 7-5 game. Most of them were like 11-3 or something of blowout proportions. Natually I was playing for the Phillies, and it was the XBOX version.

Went 19 innings this weekend, in Colorado of all places.

3-3, top of the 19th. Karros at second after a lead-off single and a sac bunt by Grudzelanek. Damian Miller knocks a base hit to right field and win 4-3. Guthrie went 3 innings (11th through 13th innings) and Juan Cruz goes 5 innings (14-18) for the win and Remlinger works the 19th with the save.

Again, not to threadjack, but what settings are you using. I really want to get into this game, but fustrated by the lack of challenge on the hardest settings and the timed hitting option.
