An equation for editing ratings in WSB 2K3?

I'm curious as to how folks here who are editing ratings in WSB 2K3 are determining what the new ratings should be.

I don't feel that Austin Kearns, Jason Larue, Aaron Boone, Reggie Taylor, Sean Casey are hitting enough homeruns.

Because stealing is so dang easy (too many players run too fast, so not running back doesn't help a whole lot), the RBI totals are too high, also. Well, maybe if stealing wasn't so easy, the RBI totals would be spot on.

Is there some equation that one of you is using to determine ratings? Perhaps we can start a thread on rating equations? Then maybe one person per team can mill over stats, and using the equation, can come up with more realistic ratings for the players.

From memory, I think the ones for 2b, 3b, and HR (for hitters) are:

2b rating = 2b/ab*1100-5
3b rating = 3b/ab*5000+5
hr rating = (hr/ab)^0.5*300
