    too many k's on wsb?

    Im playing with x*cell's custom sliders and everything, legend, the whole thing, and everything is working out good. I get a good amount of hits (realistic amounts) which i never got before as does the computer (although they have trouble getting multiple hits in one inning). The real question is that I have gotten way to many k's with my pitchers in my opinion. Here is the rundown of my first 5 games-

    Zito - 9 Innings, 13 K's
    Mulder - 7 Innings, 6 K's (got rocked with a 4 run first inning)
    Hudson - 9 Innings, 16 K's (this one was unbelievable. 9 strikeouts to start game, 11 through 4 innings, but i just tailed off and i didnt get a single K the last 3 innings)
    Lilly - 8 Innings, 13 K's
    Harang - 7 Innings, 8 K's

    Was i just lucky or is there some way to make some of these K's fly balls and stuff. I don't want to mess to much with the sliders cause the computer gets about the right amount of hits as do i, just their outs come as strikeouts too often. Let me know if you get the same thing and what i should do. thanks (btw im 4-1 losing w/ mulder)

      No, there are too many K's and it is something that needs to be fixed for next year. I just went 6 innings with Joe Pinero, and he got 12K's. That happens regularly and I play on legend with sliders that are working pretty well.

          No, there are too many K's and it is something that needs to be fixed for next year. I just went 6 innings with Joe Pinero, and he got 12K's. That happens regularly and I play on legend with sliders that are working pretty well.

                  I generally K them about 3-4 per game, sometimes in the 8-9-10 range on a great performance by my starter....

                  I, myself, K about 4-5 times a game, and generally with my power hitters. I think anyone that's K'ing an amazing amount of people just have a knack for finding a pitch that works and going with it non-stop... I mix up my pitches regardless, I actually pitch with intent to get groundball outs. It's not until I land two strikes do I normally "go for the jugular".

                              Try raising the cpu batting average. I have it at 41 with everytinh else the same as xcells. Works good for me.

Its tough with the slider, you lower it just a tad and they cant hit, then you raise it just a tad then they hit eveything. It is something that needs to be fixed next year along with steals.

                                                      The K's are a problem i had 24k's twice in a game and 20 a few times and i average like 14 K's a game.I'm thinking of editing the strikeout pecentage on my pitchers if anyone has done this can u give some feedback on this
