Re: Is it too late to buy 2k9?
2k8 has the best pitching controls of any baseball game I have ever played. The only thing that makes it seem lame is the meat balls. They should have made it where if you mess up on the pitch motion, you throw a ball, not a freakin' meat ball...But, with the right slider tweaks, you can tame meat balls dramatically. Instead of the ball getting hit out of the park, the A.I will usually just foul the pitch off or swing right through it.Comment

LOL, you are 100% correct. The only great thing to really come out this year was the commentary. Also, I did like that you could edit contracts, but you had a limit which made this useless. I also enjoyed the concept of player ambitions during franchise mode, but it was too bland and they really need to expand on this great idea. Maybe add 3-4 more so you can differentiate what Mark Teixeria wants as opposed to Albert Pujols. Way too many players had the same exact ambtions.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

Re: Is it too late to buy 2k9?
I only had a 360, and I bought 2K9 on release day. Had a little bit of fun with it, but then I went 7-7, 7 HR, 11 RBI with Pujols on a harder difficulty before I realized I was just playing an arcade game. THEN I got a PS3 and decided to get The Show because 2K9 simply did not give me my baseball fix for the season. This was the first year I'd played The Show and was completely blown away. It's really no competition at all, man. The sad part of all this is that if your a 360 user, you really have no choice in your baseball games. If I only had a 360 next season, I'd just buy The Bigs before I got another 2K baseball game. At $60.00, I was VERY unsatisfied with my purchase. If you can find it used for like 5-10$, might be worth it.Comment

Would it be cliche for me to say "If you have a PS3, it's always too late to buy 2k9."?
Seriously. Get The Show. It's fantabulous.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: Is it too late to buy 2k9?
Thanks for the help guys. I found 2k9 for 8.00 at my local Gamestop, so I picked them both up. I agree, the show is insane. I am primarily a 360 gamer though (PS3 is our "entertainment center" while 360 is my "game console") lol.
Again, thanks.Comment
