Already New Crowd Noise/Chants for 2k10 PROOF HERE

This was posted by a guy "dogerphreak"
On the thread for Ronnie asking if anyone wants their voice in the game dogerphreak posted..

"I was at the one that you guys did with the Fresno State Marching Band, as I am part of the Bulldog Marching Band. The one you guys did with us last year was all of the hockey and basketball chants. It was awesome to be doing baseball chants this year."

So then i decided to message him and ask him how it turned out for the 2k10 chants, and what specific chants he could tell me..

"It was basically just generic crowd chants, and it was for all 30 teams. If I remember correctly, the three chants we did were "Let's go [insert team name here], let's go", "Here we go [team name], here we go *clap* *clap*", and "Let's go [team name], let's go *clap* *clap*".

It was a blast, but I was *****e at the end of it. I'm pretty sure it came out awesome, as it was recorded by my entire 300 piece college marching band and the recording was done inside Bulldog Stadium, so you get the stadium echo in the background. I can't wait to buy the game next year and see us in the credits and to hear our chants."

so hopefully there were more chants than just Lets goo (team name) clap clap clap clap or Here we goo (team name)

But hey at least theyre focusing on trying to improve this!

Go ahead guys, do your complaining..

I wonder why they choose to go this route instead of just going to real MLB games. I would imagine that if you went to the bleacher section of any stadium and told them what you were doing, you would get great participation...not to mention you get more of a baseball stadium feel.

I would imagine being a MLB licensed game, they would get full cooperation from the stadiums.

This game desperately needs real baseball atmosphere as far as sounds from around the ballpark go...even more so in playoff/rivalry type games.

They do the same thing with nba 2k. Instead of going to real games like EA does they record the sounds in studio. That's why they don't sound that great in NBA 2k10. I don't get it but they have been doing it for years.

So many decisions made are just head scratchers...chalk this one up as another one.

I guess it makes sense for the "Lets Go (insert team here)" chants as they'd have to go to all 30 stadiums to get those, but for the rest of them, especially all the generic stuff, it would definitely help.

At Citi Field hopefully they can have "Jose Jose Jose Jose" for Jose Reyes. That would be awesome.

It costs a lot of money to send an audio team around the country to record chants. There's airfare, room and board, meals, etc.

It adds up quickly for a cash-strapped company, I'm sure.

I would do it for free if it means real stadium sounds. EA manages to do it, 2k should be able to also.

Should be able to but EA has a few more dollars in the budgets of their games than 2k does.

This is not a knock against you. When I read your reply, my first thought was: Why do we make so many excuses for this company, year in and year out?

When people discuss upcoming games from other developers, do we say, "Oh well, can't expect too much from [EA, SCEA, Valve, Ubisoft, etc.] because they don't have______ and can't compete with _____."? We don't say that, and it's because, as consumers, we're paying good money for these games. And when we fork over $60-$70, we expect a quality product, bottomline.

But with 2K, it's like the relationship a dysfunctional family has with their alcoholic parent. People end up making excuse after excuse for this company's incompetence, for their game development short cuts, and their bugs, glitches and complete lack of quality control. It's inexcusable. If 2K can't afford to put out a competitive, quality product, they shouldn't be releasing these games. They should get out of the game development business altogether. It's borderline immoral. They're stealing peoples' money at this point.

Again, I understand that going to every park to get their stadium unique chants is probably not cost effective, but to go to a few late September games with playoff intentions or to go to a few playoff games in October shouldn't break the bank.
