    Target Field

Anyone else curious to know what Target Field will look like in MLB 2k10?

It should be pretty close, as Target Field has already been completed.

But they probably didn't have much to go off of. That's probably the same case with the show. I'm just really curious to see how it looks in both games.

Could end up like Busch Stadium in MLB 2K7. They didn't bother to model the new stadium, they simply used Yankee Stadium as a template, and then altered the stands slightly and added a St Louis city skyline (which wasn't very accurate either).

I hope not. I hope they did the best they could with the info that they had. On the PC you can mod it, but I wish that was able to be done on the console versions. I might just get the PC version for that and if the 360 version is good I might get it for that.

Sorry, but I always get a laugh when I read comments alluding to 2K coming thru for once and doing a competent job... you know, the sort of effort we expect from a supposed professional game developer.

After their ridiculous and obscene Busch Stadium rendition in 2K7 -- it was literally Yankee Stadium, only "red" -- I seriously suggest you don't get your hopes up too high.

UGH. I remember only having a 360 at the time and being so hyped to play in the new Busch before I could go and actually be in it. Man, that was a horrible rendition of it. Absolutely, totally, absolutely horrible.

You guys are right about 2k7, Busch Stadium sucked and it really pissed me off (guess why?) However, they fixed Busch in 2k8.

Last years Citi Field and Yankee Stadium were great I thought (except Citi Field's wall color). That gives me hope that Target Field will be rendered accurately.

True. Maybe that's the difference between VC, and Kush who developed 2K7.

I thought Citi Field's wall color was correct. You are right though. Those stadiums were pretty accurate considering what they had to go off of. The only obvious things I can think of are the apple at Citi Field and the out of town scoreboard. At Yankee Stadium the wall color and the out of town scoreboard. Besides those little things they looked pretty good.

You're right, I knew one of the stadiums had the wrong wall color, it was Yankee. My bad

It wasn't really big. If they had made it navy blue instead of sky blue than they basically would have gotten the stadium right besides the out of town scoreboard. At least this year we know both stadiums will be accurate.

Here's the rendering they probably went off of.

Here's what Target field looks like almost complete.

It's only some of the ballpark, but not much has changed besides the twins players shaking hands in place of the target field sign. So it should look pretty good in 2k10.

Here's a little more "lit" shot of the stadium, though a bit less complete:

I must say though, I think the planners were a little more on the ******** side when they designed this stadium. Is the sun going to fall in the outfield somewhere? How messed up is that for the fans and batters for night games? I haven't seen a stadium like that in a long, long while. If not that, it must be falling behind the first base line... still unheard of this day and age.

What are you talking about? It looks just like the real stadium.
