Everyone knows that if you are only buying a console because you like baseball and want to play a baseball game, than the PS3 is the way to go.

Why are you putting way too much hope into a game with no hope. You will be back a week later after it comes out with I hate this game. We all know it. I made the mistake of preordering it last year. I even went to the midnight release for another game just so I could pick this one up while everybody else picked up what the release was ment for. Never make that mistake agian.

This is no different than buying Madden because you like football. I'll be buying the game as well for my 360.

Sure, you're correct but Madden is much closer to a playable game than MLB 2k can ever hope of being at this point. But who am I to tell you how to spend your money?

Furthermore, I'm 99% sure this game will not meet expectations (and they are low, already) so these people who buy it will come on the boards complaining how the game sucks and make about 30 different threads about how 2k wronged them...

This thread is probably not going to go much further, it's about to turn into a flame war....

Buying a 360 for a sim baseball game would be the equivalent of buying a Ford Excursion for it's gas mileage or a Dodge Caravan for it's sex appeal.

I traded in my copy of NHL 09 today (recieved NHL 2k10 for christmas.) and used that credit towards my deposit on MLB 2k10.

I am going to purchase the game March 3rd no question about it. I own a 360 and love baseball too freaking much.

Since you pre-ordered it, I have a nice house to sell you that you can play your new game in. What are the huge power lines over the house? Oh don't worry about those, you'll get used to the buzzing sound real quick...

I didn't know that The Show existed when I bought my Xbox. I played 2K8 at a friend's place for an hour or so, thought it was alot of fun, so I went out and bought it. After spending more time with the game, I saw all of its . . . shortcomings.

I certainly won't go out and spend hundreds more on a PS3. Just gotta hope for the best from 2K. Plus, I really dig the joystick controls for pitching and fielding!

How soon we forget 360 owners only have 1 CHOICE for their Baseball Fix. So for that, 360 owners are part of the problem. C'mon people let those who are purchasing & want this years title to be good (Myself Included) be optimistic without raining on the parade...

Usually I buy the game same day, but this year I'm waiting for reviews. I don't see the point of pre-ordering seeing as no store will be sold out of it anyway. . .

The 360 is a great console, so is the PS3. I actually have a 360 myself which actually got the RROD, but it lasted me about 4 years. I plan on getting a new 360 and not a PS3 and hope for at least a good game this year. I really think this game will be good this year and it should be. This is year two with these developers and there are no excuses.

How many people bought Madden 06, 07, 08 and 09 because there wasn't any choice? Sure Madden 10 is much improved but even if it wasn't (like MLB 2k) what choice do we have?

That's funny because I drive a Caravan and want an Excursion. 4 kids needs it.

Anyway, I think it's rather annoying that people cut on others that reserve or look forward to the game. I can name multiple games that reviews have shot down, others have bashed and yet I have had a great time with them.

I enjoyed 2k9 for the most part. The random bugs were annoying but, for the most part I like the game. the franchise freeze issue was my main gripe. I still want the new game after last years version.
