Minor Leagues playable in 2k10???

Does anyone know if MLB 2K10 will feature the return of being able to play all minor league games for your MLB affiliate? This was a great feature in 2K8 that was noticeably absent in 2K9. I havent seen any info on this

Not much info is out for the game, but hopefully all levels down to single A will be playable along with some of the real stadiums.

That would be cool to have real minor league stadiums. Does anybody know what keeps the baseball games from putting in real minor leaguers and stadiums? Is it a liscense, and if so, who has it?

I don't think it's a license because 2k8 had real stadiums. I think it's just that there are too many and the developers don't want to spend the time working on them, because they have to do all 30 MLB stadiums, and it would be a lot to do authentic minor league stadiums.

Yeah, not sure the effort to create each stadium would be worth it compared to how often they would be used. I would imagine a small % of people even play the minor league games at all and to then play enough games to play in a majority of the stadiums would be even a smaller %.

Yeah, but it's almost one of those two-way street deals here. You see, I would be more inclined to play in the minor leagues if they had a bunch of their own unique stadiums and commentary.

There's another thread on this forum that talks about the PA Announcer recording script for MLB 2k10 and he had to say all the minor league team names. So I'm pretty sure that minors are in.

Got it. Wouldn't that be something to have real stadiums and Rosters. I can see how that would be a lot of work though.

Much like minor league players...they would probably have to pay a fee for each minor league stadium.

They could make a set number of generic minor league stadiums. Have a set number of real stadium and a set of generics I don't think they could go wrong there.

dont forget, they actually did have real minor league stadiums in 2k8, along with fully playable minor leagues down to A. It was all removed last year.

My guess would be that since they are starting from scratch again, they would be putting their resources into making the game playable and not implementing some of the features they used to offer.

To me not having the minor leagues playable down to A did kill some of the gameplay as well as the depth of the franchise mode. I enjoyed very much bringing guys up and down through the minors in 2K8 and actually went back to playing 2K8 last year and will continue to do so this year if that feature is not in there. They cant include real names for minor leaguers because they are not part of the MLB players association until they reach the majors, same reason Barry Bonds and Kevin Millar were never "named" You can however edit names/stats, basically everything except skin color on 2K8, also something you couldnt do on 2K9. I did go through last year and name/edit every single minor league player
