Yes Chase, I forgot to thank you during my small frustration period there. You almost typed as much as I type in a post.

All kidding aside, you did very well for yourself speaking the truths about this game, both the good and the bad. It spells out the game about as much as it can now gameplay-wise, sans actual video footage or playing it for ourselves.

I feel the exact same way. It's a mystery to me why they would implement a defensive swing before putting a check swing into the batting mechanics.

Everything sounds pretty positive so far. I like what I read. I want to see some gameplay videos.

Hopefully check swings won't be a problem for cursor hitting.

Wow!!! Witht he fix fielding now I'm pumped!

Check swings not a game killer big problem for me I never really used it. I always wait for a good pitch n rarely commit

Can't wait to get some info on franchise and my player hopefully we could hired/fire coaches this year and build the coching staff like in years past

Thanx a lot chase for this great info.

Thanks Chase for doing that. Not only the effort, but you really give good feedback. I can do without a ton of custimization, and extras as far as minor league stadiums and lacking some detail as far as certain player models. I'm cautiously optimistic for this game. If it keeps me from buying a ps3 just to play one game and the core game is good that's all that matters to me. Last year 2k9 got so bad after a while with a few glaring issues that i bought a ps3, played the show for the 90 days and returned it and i don't want to go through that again, although i probably will lol. It seems like 2k has really worked to improve on this game, and that's all I wanted to hear. I don't expect perfection coming from last years game but seems like they are making great strides in the right direction. Still a month away.

Thanks Chase...I'm on the edge of this game. we really need some game footage to really get a hold of how things look in this game.

I also hope, the players have interaction with each other. Like, say Albert get on base, you'll see him talking to the first base coach or the first baseman of the other team. Little stuff like that goes a long way in baseball games.

Overall, I feel quite positive after reading your answers. It sounds like most of my concerns have been addressed, especially the AI and animations, and hopefully the pitching won't be too easy again this year in terms of accuracy.

Only 2 extra base hits the entire time with the game? Would you blame that on your hitting skills, or something is off with ball physics and outfielder speed, reaction, etc?

Also, do they offer automatic fielding, or where the cpu fields the ball but you control the throws?

How does the lighting look and the progressive lighting through a game. Does it move realistically, or do we start at 4PM and end in pitch black every game like last year.

The developers were not exactly sure, but I think most games that start at 4 will still end up in darkness. That being said, they were talking about there being like 15 (rough number) or so different ways a game will progress in terms of lighting etc. so it should still vary a good amount.
How do the developers..the people who made the game not know!?

My questions was more to how the players move when RTP is engaged. As you know last year players moved very robotic when the RTP was engaged. Do the players move more naturally when RTP is engaged. Does it make the RTP look more realistic.

                              Thanks again Chase

Chase, are you 100% sure there's no check swing this year? I mean it's an important part of the pitcher batter interaction, how could the developers ignore it? You called it a bummer, to me it's a game killer for the moment, hope I change my mind......

Edit: Chase can you make this test today: use classic hittng and see if by tapping the A button check swing is at least present.
                                Thanks.
