Also, does anyone know if 2k10 will be unrealistic again this year and have stadiums full all the time, which rarely happens... Look at the Florida Marlins for example, the stadium is nearly bear in outfield also Oakland as well. Anyone know if 2k will have correct crowd attendance this year?

Dynamic Crowds - when will this happen?
It has always bothered me that nearly every sports game (EA, 2k etc.) has crowds that do not leave during the game if the home team is getting beat bad or similar situations.

We all want the game to play right, but stuff life this adds realism to the game. Stuff like rally towels, vendors walking up and down the isles, trop cowbells, mascots etc all add up to a realistic game, but I don't expect 2k to have all that stuff yet.Last edited by Jamin23; 02-16-2010, 10:24 PM.E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES

Re: Dynamic Crowds - when will this happen?
I thought I saw some pics earlier that showed a bunch of empty seats in a stadium. Gotta look for themComment

I hear you, but if the game play sucks, then all these other bells and whistled won't really matter much.Comment

Re: Dynamic Crowds - when will this happen?
The problem with dynamic crowds is that they are easy to screw up. For example I once had an NHL game with this feature. I lost my first two games to start the season, and then in my 3rd game, the arena was almost empty. My guess is that the game determined I had a low winning%, and thus gave a small crowd.
There are many variables that go into the equation. Fan base, where the team is in the pennant race, the opponent, weather etc.Comment

I don't think these consoles can handle it... Maybe I'm wrong but I would have thought we'd have seen it by now if it could be done effectively.Comment

Re: Dynamic Crowds - when will this happen?
Right now, I really don't see it happening for this game until they get their more basic stuff figured out for sure. VC seemed to hit a lot of key areas for 2K10, so that's a good sign. If they indeed got that stuff working well again, I think we'll start seeing more stuff like this in the future.Comment

Re: Dynamic Crowds - when will this happen?
This past year's NHL game from EA did part of this really well. The crowd would really react to the current state of the game. When an opposing player hurt one of your team's players, that opposing player would get booed by the crowd everytime he touched the puck. That was great.
I agree. I would love the crowd to react appropriately. Get amped up at certain times and boo at appropriate times. Empty and full stadium attendance would be great in a franchise situation, as well. Didn't they do that in one of last gen's Madden Franchise???JUST WIN BABY!!Comment

I would love to see Dynamic Attendance but i don't see it happening into the final year on the 360. And then were going to have to start from scratch again OH the joy.Good Artists Copy, Great Artists Steal - PicassoComment

Re: Dynamic Crowds - when will this happen?
The NCAA football series has dynamic crowds. So I don't see why they couldn't add it to all sports games. I think it adds something when your beating a team by a lot and 3 quarters of the stadium empties out. Or if your team isn't playing too well throughout the season only selling out half the stadium or something like that.Comment

Re: Dynamic Crowds - when will this happen?
??? Where do you get this from? According to Microsoft, Natal will greatly increase the lifespan of the console. Plus, with real time ray-tracing only a few years from practical application, it would be moronic for any new system to launch now.Comment
