Just noticed Cano gesture the 1 out sign to the other fielders right before a pitch with a man on second from the pitchers perspective camera. pretty cool.

These positive impressions are very surprising. After the stinkbowl that 2K9 was, it's good to see that people can still look at 2K10 objectively. I haven't played the demo yet, but I'll give it a shot later on tonight. Hopefully I see some improvement.Comment

Things are very much improved. The best improvement for me by far is the fact that the CPU doesn't swing at everything, and this is with no sliders being adjusted. In my one game this morning, I worked a few long counts, making it very enjoyable. Pitching to the shaded red/blue areas seems to be much improved. I love that aspect.
Another positive is the frame rate. Everything runs very smoothly, in and out of the field. One thing I'm not too sure about is the black hole that shows up when the ball is hit. It clears as the ball approaches the ground but it seems like it shouldn't be there. The fielding frame rate though seems to be very much improved.
There is still some jerky animations when the ball is not in play. Not a big deal, but that run and stop like animation still shows itself. It's almost like the players look like squirrels on the field. I played one game with sunshine and you do see the change in lighting. I feel it needs a filter because things are sometimes too white and bright, giving it an arcade look.
Other than that, the game is obviously much improved. The thing that stands out most for me is the pitching. I really came away feeling good about that.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: Major League Baseball 2K10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (360)
I was going to buy both games this year regardless, however I am pretty impressed with the demo. I spent about 85-90% of my time with the Show last year, but I think 2K10 will be getting much more play time than that from me this year. Don't know if it will be a 50/50 split, but this feels fun this time around. Pitching is much improved in my opinion. Very smooth feel to everything. That was something I was not at all expecting. I am loading some videos to youtube, but because of the quality they will take a while.Comment

Re: Major League Baseball 2K10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (360)
Just played 2 innings before I got to work. Players look off a little bit. Huge numbers of course. Yankee Stadium does not look sharp at all (I hope this is because its a demo).
I got crushed by the Phils 5-0. My timing is way off but I figure that is because I haven't played 2K in almost a year. I only played last year's version for like 2 weeks. I'm definitely renting the game before I buy it. I really want to check out the My Player mode.
I like the revised pitching system but like I said, I need to get my timing back. I completely forgot how to run the bases. I did draw a walk from Roy Halladay of all people. The computer still seems like it is really aggressive. I'll play a couple of games when I get in from work to get some more impressions.Yankees & Nationals - The American Way!Comment

Okay...after the Cubs/Mets gameplay video was released, I commented how that video saved me $60.
I am now here to tell you after squeezing in a quick game before work, I will in fact be dropping the $60 on this game!
Looks to be a serious leap forward from the crapfest 09 was.
Finally get to enjoy 2 baseball titles this seasonProud White Sox season ticket holder.Comment

I know it's not the best quality because i used a camcorder, but here's a little CPU/CPU action.:
<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/FD41VNH3wh0&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/FD41VNH3wh0&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
or
Watch in 720p if you want the clearest picture. Again I didn't control either team. I just let the CPU play the top of the 1st.Last edited by ChubbyBanana; 02-23-2010, 09:45 AM.Comment
