How long does it take to download..been downloading it for atleast 20 minutes and it's only 33% finish

It's only like 712MB or something like that. Shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes or so.

How does hitting work? Is it zone hitting with the LS or can I just concentrate on timing the swing with the RS?

Wow, where do I start? I've been a Show guy for a few years now, but I am EXTREMELY impressed with this demo. It's like an entirely new game... and I'll be honest, it reminds me a LOT of my favorite series ever... MVP.

- Graphics - much more crisp, clean, way better lighting, etc. I love the player models (although yes, the numbers are a little big... except on the Yankees unis?)

- Sound - NO MORE ORGAN PLAYER, bat sounds, crowd/ballpark

- Animations - it's like they went through and smoothed out every single animation they could find. Obviously still the OCCASIONAL strange one, but GREAT work here. Double plays, pitching, fielding, etc, all MUCH improved. I would like to see more interaction between players though

- Pitching/batting - they weren't kidding that they worked on this for this year. Feels extremely tight and responsive, and is a lot of fun!

- Presentation - obviously no commentary, but I'm glad they fixed the intro stuff. Very nice looking graphics leading in, and the girl sounds much better than the guy. It doesn't feel like we are getting ready for Friday Night Fights anymore, lol.

I'll definitely be getting two games this year, and from the feel of this little demo, I'll be playing both a LOT... feels great to be able to say that again!

That would be advised. Or just cancel it and try again. I'm guessing lots of people are downloading it this morning, causing a bit of slowness.

Ummm...why did the catcher throw to 3rd on the dropped pitch? Weren't there already 2 outs?

Nice little game..

As far as the demo

- minus no ability to change the difficulty
- also no commentary

at least there are replays though

The pitching and hitting controls seem great to me so far. I actually lost my control with my pitcher at one point was overthrowing everything and walked a batter. It's more difficult to pinpoint your spots.

batting seems equally as good. a bit easy to make contact with the contact swing, but the power swing not so much, which is the way it should be. i did hit a hr but wasn't that easy but the jury is still out.

players on the basepaths are a bit wonky. that speed up on pickoffs is definately there.

graphics look similar to 2k9. At first look i was somewhat unimpressed but the physics and collisions are much better. The animations are a bit arcadey and fast though. It is smooth at least.

overall i enjoyed my first game. Looks like we have a solid baseball game here.

What's amazing is from the gameplay video everyone talked about the graphics, but the gameplay is what impressed me here. Which is a good thing.

Played a quick game as the Phillies

+Love the pitching- they've really nailed it, its a lot of fun
+Super smooth framerate- the game is silky smooth
+Nailed the signature stances/swings- I struck out swinging with Howard and it was nice to see his long swing nailed pretty well
+Cano hit a long double off the wall against me and the park definitely seems to play "bigger"- he easily had a double and made the turn at 2nd
+CPU doesn't only throw strikes- I worked a 4 pitch walk with Werth to start off an inning against Burnett... ratings seem to matter!
-CPU was kinda selective at the plate, but not enough to my liking, hopefully sliders will be able to remedy that

Within 2 minutes of playing, one can easily tell the improvements that have been made over the abominations of the last few years- this is somebody who has hated this series for a while.

Teixeira beat me on a walk-off single past Polanco with 2 outs... lame
