Re: Major League Baseball 2K10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (360)
I just think it makes a difference. I'm sure a lot of the people on the dev team are baseball fans, but if you've never played it at a higher level, there is just so much that goes on that they likely just don't know about. To understand why a check swing is important, you kind of need to know how hitters approach their at bats.Comment

I'm pretty impressed with the demo, I like it....feels better than last year, even looks better.
With that said, still not sold...I'll wait a few days after release, see what bugs pop up "any game killers" and read some reviews but mostly just read about the bugs and bugs in franchise/my player mode
Let's be honest 2k hasnt exactly earned trust with games ..regarding bugs, nba 2k10 is still a mess, mlb 2k9 was well yeah, game ending franchise crashComment

Re: Major League Baseball 2K10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (360)
Is anyone having good success with stealing in this game? I think I've only successfully stolen 2nd when the catcher hasn't bothered throwing down (when I had runners on 1st and 3rd) and on a wild pitch. Every other time, I've gotten thrown out (except once where I stole on Petitte since his pitching motion is so slow)NFL: Bills
NBA: Bucks
MLB: Cubs
NCAA: Syracuse
Soccer: USMNT/DC United

Re: Major League Baseball 2K10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (360)
Every time there was a developer Q&A on the boards or someone was collecting questions to ask the developers, I would always ask what level of baseball experience the people making the game have...I never received an answer.

Trev....I tried what you asked(I don't know if anyone else mentioned it or you've tried the demo yourself yet)..and yes after the 4 step you will always get the throw over.
Mostly I can get back...but a couple of times.....I did get nailed.
For the guys saying the CPU is swinging too much still.....I find that if it is a weak pitch and anywhere in or around the zone...the CPU swings. Almost never fail.
Now...yeah the CPU should try and take advantage of a bad pitch, but my locations were actually making them "good" pitches ...just weak and unless I throw it nearly down the middle(where it gets crushed...as it should)...I can get plenty of outs off just one pitch.
There were a decent amount of hit's off of them also...so jumping up a level should make this not too big of a deal, but I think they could have had the CPU be a little more selective on weak pitches.

Glad I'm not the only one feeling a cpu assist overload while fielding.
While I would like to believe that 2K put a load of effort into this outing, it seems to be a lot of smoke and mirrors going on to cover up last years glaring mistakes and flaws. The odd camera angles to overcompensate for IMO weak graphics for a 360 game, the omission of standard elements of baseball, the true lack of feeling control on defense. Hate to overreact from a demo, but it seems like another progress outing by 2K to pull "can't wait til next year" reactions and not a full fledge finished product.Comment

With all that being said, I'm still having fun with the demo, and plan to buy the game depending on if some of the franchise glitches were fixed. I'm just going to avoid carrying someone like Bastardo on my staff, because it can be too easy to pitch with him if the cpu swings at bad pitches.Comment

Thank you, Sir!
I with they wouldn't make these so automatic, but not an end of the world type problem.
I guess I should have asked this also, are you limited to a two step lead off second or can you extend to 3 or 4? I believe last year, you could only take a maximum of two steps.Comment

Re: Major League Baseball 2K10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (360)
Maybe I'm not understanding what he originally wanted me to do.
Once my lead hit 4 steps....the CPU threw over....but now that you asked me about hitting 3 or 4 extra steps....I don't think I was doing what you were asking...because I was not limited to just two steps.
Sorry, I didn't play this last year...so I don't know what the problem was stemming from 2K9.
I tried to watch if the runner took a standard 1 or 2 step lead...then hit it either 3 or 4 times(which I was able to do)
