2K Frustrated Over MLB 2K10 PS3 Demo Delay

    From Pasta Padre:

When the demo details for MLB 2K10 were released it was discovered that it would not arrive until March 4th for the PS3. 2K Sports representative Ronnie Singh tweeted about the delay to the MLB 2K10 demo yesterday in apparent reaction to the situation surrounding the lack of a pre-release demo for MLB 10: The

    and the tweet in question:

All very disconcerting for a PS3 owner.

Ya know what, I thought it was odd that MLB 2K10's demo and MLB 10's demo will be released on the same day on the PSN. I honestly think that was setup like that purposely. I'm not sure why, but I have a simple theory. It could hurt 2K's PS3 sales.

I'm excited about MLB 2K10. I think they have done a great job with the demo, getting information out and generally building a positive vibe for the game.

However, this Twitter stuff needs to go away. Making general public statements is just creating juvenile drama.

Well considering SCEA develops The Show it wouldn't be a suprise.

Or take the high road and zip your digital lip. It's too much. The great job 2K has done marketing this game (this year) can speak for itself. We don't need the underhanded swipes being thrown.

Also, there was no reason why the demo shouldnt have been released yesterday. This imo was a business thing that Sony decided to do. I been playing Sony games for years and this is the kind of crap they do. If anyone has ever played Everquest, they know all the terrible things the higher ups used to do with that game. Though Karma came back on them because they cant make a decent mmo anymore.

Right.. I mean my intention is to buy MLB 10, but if MLB 2K10's demo was out yesterday on the PSN, I would've downloaded it. I wanna try it. Hell, if I like it enough, I might even buy it ( PC version ). I'm not biased, but if I start playin' MLB 10, who knows, I might just forget about MLB 2K10 altogether, so, yea, I can see why Ron is concerned.

Thats not going to happen. people will NEVER zip their lip. Asked the EA dev who got in trouble for posting here and got the ban stick from EA. People lash out, its how its been since the begining of time. Especially when people feel they been wronged. They have to step up and say something not just put your tail between your legs and curl into the fetal position.

Sure, I understand that. Still, you can hold off. Ron tends to have no boundaries. Nothing will come of it. I don't expect Sony to drop 2K from its lineup. I'm surprised too that Pasta blogged it.

I don't like it. It's sensationalism. They very thing that has greatly distorted television news.

eh, the understanding of what Sony did will come out of it. While it may not mean much to you, it does mean something.

Of course you can hold off, but some people dont. Ron does have boundries, but he asked a question on twitter about why their demo was held back. He didnt go laying into SCEA. He did imply that he thought may be they did hold it back because the Show doesnt have a demo.

He didnt flame anyone. Now if he would have came out and said F sony in the rear they are bleep bleep, then i would have hit him on aim and said, dude you messed up big time. lol

I also dont know why you are surprised Pasta Blogged about this. This is his shtick. He loves this kind of stuff.

I think you're speaking to Dave's point though. It's a bit sad that the high road is a bit too tough for so many people to find and follow. They already said it was out of their hands so there is nothing more anyone needs to say IMO.

Oh well. The funny thing is, none of this changes the release, so it's really just drawing attention for nothing. I doubt the people who are so caught up in the demo nonsense care too much who's to blame anyway. They just want their bleeping demo!...lol

I have been watching this for a while and to me it stinks from head to toe and while it may be business and how the world is today I still have a choice and unless I hear something different from the other company on all these accusations and at this point thats all they are .
I may just have to change my pre order to MLB 2K10 on principal alone .
Maybe most dont care about these things but to me theres right and wrong and if true this was wrong and I will NEVER give my business to a company like that , no matter who it is .

lol...Ironically, if your pal didn't bring it back up, you wouldn't have to deal with us disagreeing either.

I know it happens, but just like you have the right to constantly vocalize your undying support for Ron, people have the right to discuss it from the opposite viewpoint. It's within the the context of the thread.

And for the record, the world absolutely works on "should have's and could haves"...reflection leads to growth...but there is no use going down that road here!
