Not a real deal breaker, but disappointing to see. Like KingFelix said, from a presentation stand point you would think 2K would get this right.

yes good point...the presentation beats sonys game def. so the old player photos are a bit of a let down.

I think all the photos are pressbox photos from 2009 spring training, meaning all players in their hats are from spring of last year? That's why you don't see Victor Martinez in a Red Sox hat or any other player traded mid-season last year in their new hats.

There was one time with 2K7 that they released a patch, and that patch had new portraits, cyberfaces and even signature styles for the Japanese players who didn't have their stuff in at the normal release. They did it for the Japan release of 2K7. But that was the only time I've seen an MLB game update portraits after the game shipped.
