I am 3-7 in my Tigers season. I just lost last night 3-2 against the Angles too many mistakes by me to win. got Damon on 3rd with 1 out and pop out, strike out. Get caught stealing 2nd in the 7th, try for a double in the 9th and get thrown out.

checked some stats and Pujois is : .235 avg 3 hr 7 RBI
    Gaming hard since 1988

I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.

I did a 30-team controlled fantasy draft franchise where I drafted each player for every team (took me about an hour) and i'm much more satisfied with it than any other franchises i've done. I just play random games and it definitly prevents my franchise from getting stagnant.

            Re: MLB 2K10 Franchise Progress

Got in a couple O's games last night. I'm in late June and interleague play is going on. O's sent Koji Uehara to the bump vs the Nationals Jordan Zimmerman. O's posted a 3 run 3rd inning and a 5 run 6th inning to beat the Nationals 8-2 in Baltimore. I pitched Uehara 6 innings, and w/ him up to around 74 pitches I pitched lefty Mark Hendrickson 3 innings to alleviate the bullpen.

Matt Wieters solo homored twice in the game for his 16th and 17th HRs of the season. He's only hitting .260, but the power is definitely there and he is leading the team in RBI hitting in the 5 hole.

Next game was a Stephen Strasburg MLB debut rematch. Only, when Strasburg made his debut it was vs the Astros and Roy Oswalt. NOW, Oswalt is an Oriole, and he's pitching against him again. I had pitched Strasburg's debut, but Oswalt shut me down and although Strasburg only allowed 2 runs he was the toughluck loser...

Except he was NOT the toughluck loser this go'round. Strasburg would strike out 7 in 7 innings, and leave w/ a Nationals 2-1 lead. Oswalt pitched a great game, pitching 7 strong, but the mistake I made was bringing him out for an 8th inning. He allowed the first two batters to reach, and that would spell doom. Oswalt would retire one batter, but give up an RBI single that pushed Washington's lead to 3-1. I brought in lefty Will Ohman for the lefty on lefty matchup, but he would give up a bases clearing double to Josh Willingham and Washington went up 5-1.

Got out of the 8th w/o allowing another National to score, but the damage was done. The bottom of the order didn't get anything across in the B8th, and I'll fast forward to the B9th. With 1 out and 2 on & Tyler Clippard pitching for the Nationals in steps Matt Wieters...Wieters would end up blasting his 3rd HR in two games, and the O's were right back in it. However, the excitement would end there as WAS brought in closer Matt Capps for the save, and Capps would get Ty Wigginton to K and Nolan Riemold to ground out.

Nationals avoid the sweep, and escape w/ a 5-4 win.

I really liked pitching w/ Roy Oswalt. Almost moreso than Halladay because he seemed to get his pitches across better...which is weird because his pitches are lower-rated than Halladay's...

Well i was finally able to start my franchise last night, using mkmarshs sliders...what a first game..i am my yanks, so i opened up against the sox...CC vs Beckett...pitchers duel...BEckett was killing me 17 strikeouts, for some reason i was swinging at everything and the ump was calling everything a strike which i felt forced me to swing at everything.

Anyways, onto the game, i had a no hitter through 6 2/3 and beckett had a 2 hitter...Then with two outs little midget pedroia steps up and and i throw a 2-0 count 2 seam fast ball that tails right over the middle of the plate, that little punk puts it out for a 1-0 lead...onto the eighth, with two outs i hit a solo shot by swisher to tie it up...i bring in park and chamberlin to close down the 8th and 9th inning...top of the 10th i line out with granderson and posada for the first and 2nd outs, then i was in an epic 12 pitch battle with swisher..i hit a huge pop up down the left field line toward the wall, ellsbury goes to catch it and gets to the ball but drops it b/c he hit the wall, swisher to 2nd, i decide to pinch hit for gardner b/c he doesnt really have any pop in his bat....i bring in thames and first pitch i hit a shallow bloop over pedroias glove and swisher beats the throw at home..i ground out with jeter for the 3rd out...then the sandman comes in, makes it interesting letting the first two guys on, but i strike out the next 2 and get youkilis to ground out for the W.

I ended up winning 2-1 with 9 hits

              What a first game...

Pulled the trigger on an Adam Dunn deal to Seattle. In the end the most cost effective/low risk move I could make was best for Seattle. Dunn came cheaply since his numbers are REALLY down. He's only hitting about .210, and has only 11 HRs through 75 games/300 ABs.

I sent Ian Snell, Ryan Garko, and a minor league OF'er in exchange for Adam Dunn, and Utility-man Alberto Gonzalez.

How do you know what a players potential is? Like a young player in the minors....how do you know if he is any good?

Also.....when I am subbing pitchers I cant tell which pitchers are rested and which are tired from the last game or something.....where do I check that?

You have to go into edit player and select the player you want to see what their potential is and scroll over a few pages and their potential rating will be at the top.

You have to check this before the game starts. When the game is loading just press start to go to edit lineups and press R to go to the pitchers page and it will tell you what their energy is.

                      Re: MLB 2K10 Franchise Progress

I had a pretty awesome 12 inning battle tonight against the Reds. A matchup of Tom Gorzellany(love pitching with him) vs Edinson Volquez.

Both pitchers were on a roll until the 4th. Aramis Ramirez comes up and on the 2nd pitch he drills one deep and gone to give me the one run lead.

Gorz kept on rolling until the 7th. He got two outs, but then gave up two hits and I replaced him with Farnsworth to try and get out of the jam. Gorzellany finished with 8 k's in 6.2 innings. Farnsworth gave up the tying run, and then got out of the inning next batter.

Grabow, Gray, and Guzman were great for me not letting a run come in, in innings of work. Jered Burton was equally as solid for the Reds, in his 3 or 4 innings pitched(cpu doesn't have anyone else to bring in because they only carry 5 relievers ).

Going into the top of the 12th, the reds had I think 14 hits and I had 2. I bring on Carlos Marmol, and he was able to get through the inning unscathed despite giving up one hit.

Bottom 12, David DeJesus leads it off with a single. Marlon Byrd sac bunts him to 2nd. Here comes Derek Lee. 1-2 count, Lee singles to left and DeJesus is able to easily beat the throw and we win 2-1 in 12 innings. I had 4 hits the whole game.

I also faced Aroldis Chapman in the first game of the series and he struck me out 13 times in a complete game allowing just one run(solo shot by Soriano). Reds beat me in that one 6-1.

I'm 50-30 now, just about a week from the all star break. The Cards are still hot on my trail just 2 games back, and get Ryan Ludwick back in just 5 days.

Awesome...thank you dude. This game is great so far (new to the game). It is hard for me to pick it apart like some of you that have played if for so long cause its new and fresh to me. Had a 13 inning game that I lost 2-1 to the Giants, going into the ninth inning we both had 6 hits and 1 run...crazy!

                          Re: MLB 2K10 Franchise Progress

Adam Dunn homered in his 2nd game as a Mariner to give Seattle an early 2-0 lead in New York vs the Yankees, and Cliff Lee was on his game throwing 8 innings of 4 hit, 12 K ball, allowing only one run to cross the plate; Cliff Lee's dominance of the Yankees, carried over from the 2009 World Series, continues...

Seattle would score 3 runs in the 6th sparked by back to back doubles by Kotchman and Guitterrez, and that inning would push Seattle to a 5-1 win knoting the series at a 1-1 tie. A matchup featuring Erik Bedard against Andy Pettitte will be the final game of the 3-game series.

A Seattle win/series win will bring the Mariners record to .500 @ 39-39; Yankees have the best record in baseball @ 48-29.

currently 14-7 and currently 1.5 games ahead of the Rockies for first place. My bats have REALLY struggled, only producing 1 run in 3 GAMES. Luckily, that 1 run was a walk off single by Matt Kemp last game
