Awh! Thats too bad that the Cardinals aren't doing too well in your franchise... Hopefully next year they won't be playing like that. But if you land that deal, just let me know, I would be eager to see how that deal helps you.

Thanks! Im glad you can help me with my sliders issue.

You must be using the original rosters if Raburn is the leadoff hitter. I waited as long as I could until the first roster ratings overhaul was released, and Raburn was dropped from 79 to 69 lol.
hahayeah definetely using original rosters. i got duchscherer for carlos guillen, who is soooo overated in this game. just haven't got live yet, but almost got the money for it!

        Re: Tigers Franchise-All Star Break

        I'll check them out JBH.

Also, just finished up the All-Star break with my 30-team franchise.

Kendry Morales won the Homerun derby. I chose to play it as Brad Hawpe (my lover) and Jason Heyward, but I stunk and hit only 7 with Hawpe and 10 with Heyward.

Played the All-star game as the AL and lost 7-2. Matt Garza gave up 5 runs in the 3rd for me that spelled defeat

        The divisions leaders:

AL East: Yankees up by 4 games over the Rays
AL Central: White Sox up by a game over the Twins
AL West: Angels up by 3 games over the Mariners

NL East: Phillies lead Braves by 3 games
Central: Brewers lead Cardinals by 1 game
West: Dodgers lead Rockies by 3 games

        Close races everywhere.

        Meanwhile, in terms of trades:

The Padres are in dead last and one of the worst teams in baseball (in my franchise at least ) and I'm definitely gonna think about trading Adrian Gonzalez to the Mariners, but I'm not sure for who. Any suggestions?

The Rays improved to 8-11 with a 2-1 victory over Texas. David Price pitched 8.1 innings giving up the one run. Soriano came in with one out in the ninth and closed the door. We are currently 5.5 games back of the Yankees.

Went ahead and finished the deal that sent Adrian Gonzalez to the M's in exchange for RP Sean White and two key prospects from the Mariner's organization (including a CF who has a 95 POT).

I'm gonna play the Mariner's next series against the White Sox and let you know how the team does

And JBH, I couldnt find your sliders anywhere within the slider forums! I've been using modified All-Star sliders for now, because I've grown to really dislike the sliders I had been using (alot of games were being played out exactly the same).

I use total control swinging now btw, mostly because alot of the slider sets that involve classic hitting also involve moving power up to 90 for the User, which I think takes away achievements.

              Franchise Update:

At the all-star break now with my team sitting in first place at 50-31. I have 6 all-stars this season in Tim Lincecum (12-2, 2.56, .99), Matt Cain (10-3, 1.89, 1.01), Pablo Sandoval (.345, 15hr, 50rbi) Ben Zobrist (.289, 25hr, 75rbi) Aubrey Huff (.303, 18hr, 55 rbi) and Brian Wilson (0-1, .089 24svs) I also made a superstar trade, sending Nate Scheirholtz, Mike Miller (AAA Prospect with 90+pot) and Ryan Rohlinger for Hiroki Kuroda and....my new #3 hitter Andre Either! I then traded Kuroda and John Bowker for Matt Garza from the Tampa Bay Rays and Jonathan Sanchez and Freddy Sanchez for Jayson Werth from the Phillies. My lineup now looks like this

              CF-Andres Torres
              2B-Ben Zobrist
              RF-Andre Either
              LF- Jayson Werth
              1B- Aubrey Huff
              3B-Pablo Sandoval
              SS-Juan Uribe
C- Bengie Molina (Buster is tearing it up in AAA so I'm looking to trade Bengie for a backup utility like Bill Hall)

              Rotation
              Tim Lincecum
              Barry Zito
              Matt Cain
              Matt Garza
              Madison Bumgarner

Any suggestions to improve my team are always appreciated!!

                  Re: MLB 2K10 Franchise Progress

The Rays played three games since the last time I checked in. In the first game the Rays played great for 7 out of the 9 innings, but in the two innings that they forgot to play baseball the Rays allowed a total of 9 runs and lost to the Blue Jays 9-3.
In the second game, the Rays bats came alive and pounded the Marlins 12-6. Carlos Pena and Carl Crawford each hit a home run. That brings the Rays total for homeruns during the season to a whopping 5.

The third games was a pitchers treat for the Rays. Matt (no hit) Garza pitched a complete game only allowing two runs as the Rays beat the Braves 8-2.

The Rays record is 10-12, still 5.5 games back of the Yankees. Our next game is against Florida once again.

sitting at 16-18 with the tigers after a 7-15 start I am 9-3 in the last 12 games. The Cleveland Indians are leading the division with a 18-16 record as they head into Detroit for a two game series.
                    Gaming hard since 1988

I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.

                      Re: MLB 2K10 Franchise Progress

Just had a really dominant game on my Tigers franchise (still using default pro sliders for now), 10-0 against the Indians at Cleveland.

I was watching the Tigers/Red Sox game on TV tonight and randomly decided to take a lot of pitches on my game and see if I could draw some walks, since I'm near the bottom of MLB in walks. The strategy was to not even set my thumb on the swing stick unless I had 2 strikes already. The results were amazing.

I drew 8 walks, 3 by Brennan Boesch, and faced a total of 217 pitches. I was really able to wear down the Indians staff and stressed out their bullpen as 3 different pitchers threw over 60 pitches apiece.

In my previous game, Max Scherzer threw my first CGSO of the season, and in this one Justin Verlander nailed down my second CGSO on the year.

On the negative side, Austin Jackson did NOT benefit from the new approach, going 0-6 with a whopping 4 K's. In fact, Jackson, Brandon Inge, and Johnny Damon combined to go 0-16 with 8 K's !! Terrible numbers that you would never expect from a 10-0 whipping. Damon even leads all of MLB with a .398 average even after his 0-5 tonight.

The Tigers are running away with the Central right now at 26-5, incredibly 12 games ahead of 2nd place Kansas City. It seems obvious I need to turn it up to All Star skill level, but I've had more close games than you might think, 18 games have been decided by 3 runs or less. Plus I still don't feel I've played the best teams in the AL enough to go ahead and increase the difficulty.

I do, however, have a 4 game series against the Yankees followed by 3 against Boston coming up and if I continue to dominate I will DEFINITELY crank it up to all star and pray for the best.

The Rays had a chance to turn three double plays in the first three innings and were unsuccessful on all three chances. We did get the one out. However, the next batter would make us pay on each occassion with a RBI single. Wade pitched the first six innings giving up the 4 runs and God knows how many hits (12 to be exact) Sorrenson is on for relief. Will keep you all updated.

Back to the action.....The Rays scored 2 runs on the top of the 9th inning, however, it wasn't enough as the Rays lose 4-3. Our record drops to 7-8 and we are currently 2 games back of the Yankees. Also just heard a rumor the Yankees are picking up Lee...."wonderful"
Totally agree. DP's are KEY, I mean KEY (lol) to allowing less runs, if you dont have at least a good defensive 2B or SS in your franchise, I suggest making a trade or going to free agency, because once the CPU gets something going, it can only go downhill

Just had an **** pitchers duel @ KC
                            Clay Bucholz vs Gil Meche

I made a few bad moves on the bases getting CS twice and thrown out trying thanks to the game making Youkilis run almost onto the outfield grass on the turn, after his leadoff single. Papi led off the top of the 7th with a double but I would strand him at third. 0-0 in the bottom of the 9th. Meche and Bucholz had both gone 8 strong (obviously). After back to back singles to leadoff the bottom of the 9th, KC tried a double steal, and since its impossible to throw out the CPU stealing, they succeeded. Bucholz would then proceed to give up a GW single and the "Immaculate Pitchers Duel" came to an end.
I now am sitting at an unexpected 1-3 after taking 1 out of 3 from NYY, thanks to Beckett, to cap off the season.
