Rented the game today. Made a Starting Pitcher for the Marlins. In my first minor league start i had a complete game shutout with 6 hits allowed, 2 BB's and 8 K's. I'd say I'm off to a good start. Let's hope it stays that way.

I got called up to the majors in September with my 3B. It took quite a while to get my slugging % high enough to cover that last goal. I'm not sure if I got called up just because it was September and the rosters expanded, or because I met all of my goals.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
I made a CF/LF last night and was killing it in AA for the Royals organization. After about 15 games I was hitting around .450 with 7 HR's. I thought I had it set on All Star, since that is what loads up when I turn the game on, but for some reason it was set on Pro the whole time. So that pretty much explains the stats. I got called up mid-June and have started the last 5 games for the Royals. Hitting around .150 with only two hits, one being a HR off of Brad Penny. The last game I was completely shut down by Jake Peavy, who threw a complete game shut out, with 160+ pitches. His energy was still at 86 on my last at-bat. So it looks like the only time his energy went down was during my players at-bats and not at all during the rest of the game. Hopefully this is a glitch that can be fixed in a patch, but with this being the first time for this mode in a 2K game, I'm not surprised it has some issues. Still having fun with the mode though mind you.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
The pitch counts are wayy crazy in this mode, but I dont care really.
Also, the stamina thing is a visual glitch. He's actually really tired. Try moving pitcher fatigue to 60 if you want.
Also, I hit my first HR
It was awesome, opposite field shot (I bat lefty). It's the beginning of July and I'm currently batting .313 with 1 HR and 13 RBIs. I'm close to meeting all the goals to get called up. I just need to improve my power agaisnt righties and lefties to over 60 and I'll be good to go.Comment

Great video! I was wondering what a position player looks like. The walk-up and the fielding camera are awesome. Also like how the manager called for a hit and run! Here is a test of me playing the "My Player Mode" Not bad for 2K's first efforts with this feature a la RTS in the Show.
peace!

I made the Majors about halfway through Year 2. I'm on the Pirates, we won the world series during Year 3, and now I'm pretty much been groomed to be the closer instead of the set up man.Comment

It's the exact same as 2k9 but this one you press a button first so there's no confusion about which pitch you're trying to throw. I think this way is way more fun than the button.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
Quick Update before I go to sleep. About 40 games into my minor league career, my second baseman was pulled up to the Dodgers. Not after one of my games, but exactly after I met my last goal (one of the attribute ones), so I guess that's what they're looking for. I hit about .290 in the minors with an OBP of about .350. Got a hit in my first major league at bat off of Oliver Perez but finished the game 1-4. Then I had to face Johan Santana the next game and struggled until they brought in Mike Pelfrey in relief. I hit my first career home run to dead center field.
On a side note, it's after the all-star break and Ken Griffey Jr. is leading in the AL MVP race right now, hitting about .275 with 25 home runs even though there's other guys below him that are playing much better. Rajai Davis is #2 and Carl Crawford is #3.
Another thing I found noteworthy was the trades. There was only one trade that went down but it was a big one. The Yankees traded away Mark Teixeira, Robinson Cano (one of the top MVP candidates), and AJ Burnett to the Padres for Adrian Gonzalez, Heath Bell, and Mike Adams. Crazy trade.NFL: Bills
NBA: Bucks

I got called up after 64 games. I'm a 2b for the Pirates. Mid August and the race in the central is between the Reds and the Pirates. I'm playing at SS now instead of 2nd. After 4 games in the majors, I'm batting .384 with 1 HR and 3 RBI's.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
Im a starting pitcher in the O's organization. Pretty fun so far. I hit all my start and attribute goals and once point but no call up. I fell below on 3 of my stat goals now. I think I am 4-6 with a 4.6 era. Probably would of won a couple more games if I got some run support. I got rocked one game. I bumped up a level from pro from the start. Just about to close out season one.MLB the Show - Cubs
