Region code?

As some of you might know baseball is not a very popular sport in Europe and that is why we haven't had any console baseball games that we could play in recent years. It was possible to play a japanese import (NTSC-J) on my (PAL) system two years ago (MLB 2k8) but I haven't heard anything about the region codes this year. Nobody on the 2k forums knows, either. So I'm asking you guys.

Could somebody please check on the back of their dvd box if it says NTSC or region free or something?

It is NTSC region locked. Sorry, it does suck, have a few friends across the pond that wont be able to get it as well.

That's what I thought..hmm

Just weird that powersellers on ebay have confirmed that it is region free (saw this on the 2k forums).

They are incorrect, misinformed, or just flat out making stuff up.

Everything that I read said it was NTSC locked, but it is possible that I could be wrong, wouldnt be the first time

Hi! On the webside axelmusic stands:All PS3 games are confirmed to work worldwide.
And on the PS3 mlb 2k10 there is an us-flag and beside stands ALL.
x-box mlb 2k10 there is an us-flag and beside stands ntsc.
So i think its codefree for the PS3!!!!!!

Yeah I thought the OP was speaking only of 360, which is region locked. The PS3 version is RF
