The organ music. It's nice hearing actual organ music instead of the circus music that was in 2k9 and beyond. It's nice to play at different parks and hear the different music that is played like at Yankee Stadium the lets go Yankees chant and the organ at Busch Stadium.E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES

Re: The little things thread
I really like the baserunners reactions after scoring, getting a big hit, getting thrown out, etc. I gunned a guy out at 3rd from RF and he slid head first and when the ump called him out, he rolled over on his back and laid there for a second or two.Comment

Re: The little things thread
It's 2022 and I've got a week off work. What game(s) will I play? Easy choice. 2K10 is already in my PS3 and has been since spring training.
The commentary is second to none. Even after all these years, it not only holds up but excels.
The face scans, face animations and ball tracking. I'll pause and look at replays throughout games and you can see expressions, ball tracking, player interaction. They all happen within context and look natural.
Jersey texture. Seriously, zoom in on a replay...the textures looks good.
Player models and signature motions. Players have noticeable size and weight differential. The signature stances and wind ups are legit.
Player attributes. There is a good spread and variance. Players feel different to me. I can feel and see the difference in say a Mike Gonzalez slider as opposed to an Alfredo Simon slider.
Wall climbs.
Diving plays/slides in the outfield. These look nice and play out realistically. It feels like fielding attributes matter and the difficulty in pulling these off feel just feel right.
Cards. I love being able to collect players cards by completing the task involved in unlocking that specific card.
Batter reactions to being pitched hard inside.
Depth and ratio of the ballpark dimensions.
Home plate collisions. Never get tired of a collision at the plate.
Menu system. I like the little screen that plays when you're on that specific option.
Game wrap up and gametrack. Lovely touch to see top plays, pressbook and signature highlights as well as full game tracking. I'll always go back on the gametrack after a game and watch the replays.
Base stealing mechanics.
Players use accessories. For example, some players using shades when the sun's out but when it gets dark or the sun goes, they will take them off.
There are of course lots more. I'd love to hear some more of yours. Either if you're still playing or what you remember.
Even after all these years I'm still seeing and noticing things for the first timeComment

Re: The little things thread
Little thing I noticed tonight...Nolan Reimold grounded out and was thrown out at first. As he was making his way back to the dug out, the first base coach lent down to stretch and instead of clipping through him like he wasn't there, Nolan took a litte detour round him, with a lovely little jog animation that used proper collision detection.
This doesn't even happen properly in The Show in 22. It's honestly amazing how good the 2K series is. It'll forever be an under appreciated gem of a series <3Comment

Re: The little things thread
Just finished a game against the Red Sox at Fenway.
Chris Tillman was on the mound, full count on Scutaro and he takes the strike looking at the knees inner third...but he tries to sell it like it was inside...he backs away from the plate then starts to trot down to first, flips his bat without even waiting for the umps call. Ump was having none of it though and rings him up emphatically. The look on Scutaro's face when he heard the call and turned back to argue it.
Just so realistic.Comment

Re: The little things thread
Playing against the Mariners at Camden Yards, two outs in the inning and Luke (Scott) hits a fly ball the left field. Milton Bradley looks to camp under it but at the last moment the wind takes it slightly away from him and he has to readjust at the last second. The ball tips off his glove and falls in for an E7. I had the runners on the move and I had sent them home as a matter of course. Good old Milton cost them two runs with his error. Again, this looked so fluid and organic. Can't remember seeing that animation beforeComment
