Game Freeze Thread

Okay describe your freeze and what, if anything, you were able to do to fix it.

I've had two freezes thus far...

one that I was able to fix by pausing and making a fielding substitution.

AND THEN...

the one I just had where my floundering Cardinals who were 4-8 and averaging just 2 runs per game finally exploded for 9 runs and Pujols even homered (just the 2nd in 12 games) and then...

BANG!!!

As the game faded back in 'from commercial' it showed my pitcher and just froze there...

I could do nothing. No buttons would trigger any thing...including crazy 007 button combos...

I could not save the game or make a substitution as those menus were 'greyed out' or unavailable.

I tried changing camera angles...and game settings...and basically every thing I could possibly think of before I had to throw my most productive game of the season

IN THE TRASH!!!

Seriously 2k, this game is really amazing. It does so many things so well. Please find a way to fix this because I hear NHL 10 calling me back.

I simply can't play over an hour of baseball to have this happen.

I think I'm going to dl the game to my hard drive and see how it goes.

That's why I traded him to the NL hahahaha. 2k is so close with this game. Don't know why they screw up such easy small stuff

Tried to play the same game over again and got the exact same freeze...

this time it was in the 3rd inning, but with the same cutscene. My pitcher standing there with the grandstands in the background...

*sigh*

This was after DL'ing the game to my hard drive also.

Weird...I haven't had this happen to me and hopefully it never does. This game has yet to do me wrong thankfully.

Well...it finally stopped doing it.

Lost 6-5 though...

I have to basically fast forward through all cut scenes after commercial breaks.

Glad you got your freezing problem worked our, obg. But now I'm having problems. I just finished playing a franchise mode game, which I lost 3-2. It then autosaved. However, I still like to save manually. So I go to the "save" option and immediately upon hitting that, the game froze. I thought nothing of it and rebooted my Xbox, loaded up my chise again. Fortunately, I didn't have to play my just completed game over again because of the autosave thing, but when I hit "save" again after simulating up to Game 3 of my series against Texas, the game froze AGAIN in that same spot. I don't know what I'm gonna do now. This wasn't a problem during ST, but now I start the regular season and the game decides to act up on me. I am this close to taking this game back to where I got it. And I do have the game installed to my hard drive.

My game was freezing. I couldn't say exactly "when" or "where." I decided to erase my profile because I remember the same thing happened years ago with a version of 2K basketball and it had to do with downloading songs into 2K BEATS. I started a new profile without and songs of my own. I haven't had any trouble since. (crosses fingers)

When ever I try to start a new MP. It freezes during the intro video.

I just started a new franchise(doing a 30 team franchise, going alphabetically each game...slider testing) and was playing the Angels(me) vs. Twins. Got to the 4th inning, and it froze during a pitch. Rebooted my 360, started the same game and it froze in the first. I havent had any freezing issues whatsoever until this, but I also havent played anything but My Player and MLB Today games.
