Are you able to turn double plays as a ss or 2nd basemen?

In my player as a short stop, i have yet to be the person to turn two. im always the one who throws the ball to second, but im never the on who covers the bag to throw to first. all i get to do is catch fly balls, or throw to first. this gets very boring. has anyone been able to turn two as the person waiting on the bag to throw to first?

i did it as a 2nd baseman but never as a ss

No, I've played about 15 games as a SS and never been able to pivot the dp. Huge turnoff to me that all you do on defense is field and throw to 1st, more or less.

I'm a SS in Red Sox AA
I turned two today.

I flipped it to 2nd and the 2nd basemen flipped to first.

and the other i played as close to the 2nd base as I could . And turned the double pplay by tagging the bag and throwing to first.

This happen in late june about 5 games apart.

i do that, but thats not what i mean... im talking about when the ball is hit towards the first or 2nd basemen, and then they toss it too u.

ive played over 100 days, and havent done this yet
