going for a double play he stepped on 2nd base and then it looks like he's gonna throw the ball to the outfield instead of 1st base as he turns.. this isnt suppose to happen..

Hey all. I finally stopped lurking and decided to create an account. I've looked all over and haven't seen this mentioned. My apologies if it has been, I just couldn't find it anywhere.

In My Player I am playing as a catcher (just hit September of my first season.. called up in July), and it seems like well over half of the pop ups behind the plate or down the line are "stolen" from me by a pitcher who sprints in at superhuman speeds and makes the catch as I am settling in beneath the ball. In fact, sometimes it seems as if there is a barrier (the controller even vibrates) around where I need to be to make a play that holds me up from getting to the spot.. just to give the pitcher a clear shot at it even though he's not in the play until the very last moment. As a catcher it's tough enough getting fielding points without having the pitcher sprinting in and trying to steal every single pop fly.. and succeeding in most cases. I may be a posting noob, but I am far from a sports game noob. This is completely ridiculous. I'm not even mentioning how as a catcher I'm never trying to throw out a base stealer or having passed balls or wild pitches to deal with. Why waste points on block pitch and arm strength when there are never WP's or PB's, and the only throw I ever make is to first (or VERY rarely third) on a nubber in front of the plate?

I should also add that I've also had the pitcher stealing balls in my firstbaseman My Player when he has no right being there.

I like a lot of things they've done with the game this year, but anyone who watches baseball understands that the pitcher gets out of the way on flies in the infield.. except 2k Sports it seems. lol

Freezing glitch. (freezing glitches, imo, should be priorities)

When cycling through the roster screen (management, roster)....

when you are

1. Viewing Free agents and try to move left to the New York Yankees

2. Viewing the New York Yankees and click the right trigger to view free agents

the game freezes. Consistently, every single time.

So, I am wicked pissed right now. I spent the first week playing the game in my player mode. Had an amazing season going - my team just made the playoffs after a 1 game playoff to see who would win the division. But after that game...nothing happens next. The game won't start the playoffs...if I go to the calendar it's blank for the next several months until the off-season starts. If I try and simulate to the off-season, it just move the calendar ahead, but nothing happens. I can do this for years and years...but the game will not let me play or complete the season I had going. Basically, a weeks worth of time has been wasted. I don't know if it's my disc or what...like I said, totally pissed off, this is B.S.!

I'm having the exact same problem, anyone have any fixes or anything for this?

I was about to say the same thing about the pitcher stealing the foul balls too.

I just started My Player yesterday as a catcher and remembered this "When playing as a catcher in My Player when you had to field bunts they were being hit to hard and the pitcher was fielding them." was in the patch fix so figured the pitcher stealing my foul balls was a glitch too.

In another possible problem I'm hitting .456 but am 4th(!) in the RotY race. (I changed some sliders around in hopes of making the rest of the team not inept but it seems to have only made my specific player better.)

Had an odd one in Franchise.. runner on first, Castillo (NYM) hits a basehit. I sent Pagan to third, where the ball gets past the 3b man. Pagan scores, but the ball just sits there without anyone going to it. So I decide to send Castillo home, and he scores. However, the run didn't count, and instead I noticed I get "charged" an out (had one at the time, now I had 2).

One more.... after one of the newer roster updates, I went into the Cardinals roster menu to edit Joe Mather (Conrad something). I typed in M-a-t for his last name, pressed "Y" to go to the list of names included, and there was a name like ubioc in the Ms. Nitpicky, but a bug nonetheless. (Please 2k, before you fix this one, fix the major issues, lol)

I had a problem with the Pitcher or 3rd baseman stealing my pop ups while I was playing SS. I found that if I preloaded a throw to a base they'd back-off and my guy would catch the ball. I *think* this works, but it may just be my imagination. Give it a shot. You'll never throw the ball away, so don't worry about that. It could be a crappy work around if it works for others.

An update. This not only happens when viewing the rosters, but also.... when you choose "play now" mode and try to cycle right past the Yankees or left past the first teams... freeze.

Obviously, there is a workaround to this. You have to operate in a linear frame of mind. Want to pick the Angels and you are on the Yankees screen? You have to pull the LT until you get back....

I have no idea what is causing this. Maybe a roster update? A created team? A created player?

EDIT: I think I found the reason. I deleted two created teams and there was no longer an issue. I just realized that either the patch or the roster update kept me from playing with the created teams.

has anyone noticed that at some parts of the game when your batter walks up the bat floats in the air making it look like your batter is invisible? this happened in a franchise game last night.

I have stopped being informed of my clutch moments. No presentation/overlays/comentary etc.

It says I've done 5 but it's only shown up 3 times. I was wondering why bases loaded bottom of the 9th in a tie game wasn't a clutch moment. Guess it was. Not sure what the other would've been.

Also I've had the AI attempt a pick off of the runner at 2nd,they got to keep the ball and tagged him out after he got back up from sliding back to 2nd and being called safe. I took a video but didn't upload it yet.

Another one is when trying to slide back to the bag sometimes it starts the inital slide animation TWICE thus leading to an out.

First time posting here. Been using the website for five years though. I'm glad I am not the only one here with this problem.

I spent close to 79 hours playing, 182 games played. Speed was at 96, all the batting side was at 90+ and catches rating of 95. Throwing was in the 70's. Won Rookie of the year, next year won the all star and got so many goals done. Had almost 150 RBI's in my second season. 3rd year I did spring training and played one game. Traded my self to the Dodgers. Sure enough it still thinks I am with the Seattle Mariners and crashes during pitching. I cant go back and undo it or even play now. It just takes me right back to the Mariners season opener. I should have made a back up save.

I couldn't get any answers on gamefaqs but crap. Like just sit there and complain and start over how much work can it take to get back there . But I hope they do fix it or at least patch it so this stops happening to every one.
