And would/could impact what budget you have remaining for player salaries. If you want a staff that's making $9M a year instead of $4M a year, that's $5M less you have available for your players.

The way I see it, as a GM, you have $X to spend on your players/coaches/scouts/trainers, etc. and what you save in one category is additional $ you can spend elsewhere as long as the total stays under $X.

Good idea.. More things like scoreless inning streaks , ground out / fly out ratio and such.

          I will add.

Smoother swing animations.. They are still clunky especially on replays.

Base running animations needs to be less jerky when rounding the bases and just much more smooth in general.

Some fielding animations need to be redone or removed ( again.. need to be smoother ). An example would be hitting a liner at an infielder only to see them run in circles and then catch the ball.

I guess the animations for me are what I want to be improved upon ( outside of the already known issues ) for the next game.

Here's a big one, not sure if it has been mentioned.

2k10 did an excellent job of adding in the ability to customize two handed and one handed swings. But... a vast amount of major leaguers utilize both types of swings (see: Colby Rasmus, Rick Ankiel). So.... add another category:

swing type: one handed, two handed, both.

One handed is always one handed. Two handed, always two handed. Both means they swing one handed sometimes and two handed other times.

            ALSO

revamp the warming up relievers function.

You select the reliever you want to warm up the same way as it is now. However, each reliever gets a rating as to how quickly they warm up. Starters take longer to warm up, while lefty specialists might just take a few pitches.

When the reliever is warm, the game should automatically make them "stand" on the mound. Eliminate the concept of a pitcher getting gassed by warming up too long. I've had far too many guys warm up for three outs and come in with 57 energy.

So, I want Billy Wagner to warm up. I tell him to warm up. When he reaches his warmup limit, he is ready to come in and doesn't foolishly keep throwing. It would also be nice if the game gave you an alert as to when they were warm.

              Re: MLB 2K11 Wishlist

Here's a list of things that I've experienced in my 100+ games so far that I would love to see fixed next year.

              1. Fix the dive back attempts on pick offs. Players will hitch and get caught in mid air causing them to be picked off when they shouldn't.
              2. Fix the fatigue in franchise mode. A player should still recover energy even if he comes in to pinch hit, he should not lose energy just because he hit once. Fix the DH fatigue, they should not fatigue like an everyday player. One person suggested that it should be counted as a half off day, I'd be fine with that. Plenty of teams will move a guy to DH for a day to get him some rest.
              3. Fix the DL in franchise mode. Players can come in and pinch hit or be subbed in as defensive replacements even if they are on the DL.
              4. For the draft, give us some sort of indication of potential. An idea would be to give us a summary of his potential, and base it's accuracy on the scouts rating.
              5. Fix the dive button. It's very unresponsive at times.
              6. Give us control of our fielders. I cannot count the number of times my player has ran off in the wrong direction and I cannot control him. Very frustrating.
              7. Make it harder for us to locate pitches. Once you get the gestures down, you can locate pitches with anyone.
              8. Give us options to turn off the ball cursor, and the vibrating at the edge of the strike zone while pitching.
              9. Obviously two things people have been wanting is errors and injuries. There's no challenge to building a team to last over a whole season because no one gets injured. There's also no reason to sub out players when you're winning by a lot, because there's no risk of them getting hurt.
              10. To add to #9, give us sliders for errors and injuries. That way, if you guys accidentally overdo them or underdo them we can fix it. A slider for fielding errors, along with a slider for throwing errors would be nice. A slider for injury frequency(how often), and a slider for injury seriousness(this would change the amount of big/small injuries there were) would also would be nice.
              11. Bring back the ratings for Endurace(effects players energy and how fast it takes them to fatigue over a season) and Durability(injury rating).
              12. Fix the AI roster management logic in franchise mode. Make it so every team carries 13 hitters and 12 pitchers. In 2k10 they carry 15 hitters and 10 pitchers unless you do the workaround to get them to 14/11 or you have 30 team roster control on.
              13. Fix the batting stances which are just generic. There are plenty that are labeled a players name but they are just one of the generic stances. Also, I would like to see a lot more generic stances because there aren't enough to choose from IMO(but then again I'm spoiled from the show on ps2 which has hundreds of stances).
              14. Bring back the cancel throw button. I've had countless times when I have wanted to change where I throw the ball after I preload the throw and a player goes into a long animation making it useless to throw to the bag I originally chose.
              15. Lower the times that the cpu hits the cut off man. There's plenty of times I probably should've been out but the cpu threw it to the cut off man and it led to me being safe.
              16. Fix the cpu's ability to tag out runners. At third and home the cpu does not know how to apply a tag and it leads to cheap runs.

                Revamp the player fatigue system

Currently, when a player is given a day off, but then called upon to pinch hit or play defense, his fatigue is lowered just as much as if he would have started. So....

make fatigue decrease by innings. A full 9 innings might decrease fatigue 2.5 percent, while only playing one inning would only decrease fatigue 1/4 of a percent. You could even go one step further, making the "Iron Men" of baseball, like Tejada, experience less of a fatigue loss for playing 9 innings.

A game that actually mimics a true game of baseball.

Let's start there shall we? But I don't care, as the PS3 will be below 200 bucks by Aug and if I can find one on Craigslist...bye bye Xbox

Sick of Xbox trying to charge me for everything, anyway...

I cn go online and play with others on the PS3 with no charge AND their lobbies and games usually have a better class of gamer. Weird...

Although I must be fair...and say when it's a blowout, the computer does a great job of putting backups in at the en of game or as positional PHs

Which is unintentionally funny, because it sucks at PH for the relief pitcher

I agree with a lot the request for next year, but I've got a minor graphical one I'd like implemented. I don't know if the competition does this, but I'd love to see VC add actual finger placement on most pitches. I hate seeing the pitchers throw like their position players.

Although I must say, all of those things really should be fixed THIS year in a patch. I shouldn't have to pay another $60 for a working game.

I have some suggestions for the Homerun Derby.

                              Where'd that ball land???
The camera stops following a homerun ball before it lands, it should stay with the ball until it stops. You can already press A to skip it if you want, let us choose if we want to see it land.

How far did that ball go?
Give us the distance of every single homerun ball hit. I hit some monster shots with Adam Dunn, but I had no idea how far they were unless they were the longest I had hit.

                              I got kicked out??
The homerun count from the first round should carry over to the 2nd. Derek Lee hit 15 HR's in the first round, and Dunn hit 13 in the first round. They both hit 10 in the 2nd round, but Dunn advanced because he hit the longer homerun, which isn't how the tie is determined anyway(swingoff, 5 swings each player).

To piggy back on my last post, the all star game needs to be fixed.

First of all, the players voted to start do NOT start in this game. It's all based on ratings, when it should be locked in to whoever gets voted to start. Second, the cpu is using terrible logic to pick the backups.

I had ONE catcher on my whole team.
                                3 first baseman.
                                One second baseman.
                                Three third baseman.
                                Three shortstops.
                                4 outfielders.
                                9 pitchers(only one was a reliever).

Okay, since they are only using 25 man rosters for the all star game, here's my suggestion of how to fix it.

                                Have TWO catchers.
                                Two first baseman.
                                Two second baseman.
                                Two third baseman.
                                Two shortstops.
                                Five outfielders.
Ten pitchers, but have maybe 2 of them be relievers. Split up the pitcher voting between starters and relievers.

Also, fix the logic for the roster usage in the all star game(like you have to fix the spring training AI too). Make the starting pitchers go 2 innings each. Then every pitcher after that an inning. Although with the shortened staff here, maybe the starters should go 3, but either is fine IMO. Have the starters in the field get either 2 or 3 at bats and have them switched out for the backups.
