Okay so how important is the Inside Edge Scouting in Franchise mode and what strategy do you use when deciding what teams to purchase scouting reports on?

Not sure of its importance this year, as I do not have the game as of yet.
However, as far as strategy for using it went, I would purchase all of the reports on teams within my division, and then maybe a few of the tougher teams outside of my division. I was the Yanks, so I purchased all of the East, then maybe the Tigers, Twins and Angels for the rest of the AL.
In all reality, I could've purchased the reports for the entire AL and NL with the Yanks payroll/budget, but decided to just do it the way I described above.JUST WIN BABY!! -

not sur how important it is overall, but i am a stat geek so i love it.
as the yanks, i purchased the entire AL EAST, like 'silverandblack' before me.
I will also purchase a few others.
