Swing Stick 2.0 needs to be brought back from 2K8

Im sorry but this seperate contact and power swings are stupid.....last years swing stick was stupid, 2K7's swing stick was stupid....but 2K8 was amazing, one fluid motion of pull back on the right stick and push forward, everything was timing and you couldnt even pull back too early or late, absolute best hitting in the 2K series.


p.s. there should also be no influence of the left stick at the plate either, all timing of swing stick and when you swing!!!

i have put extensive time into this years batting and the left stick doesnt do a darn thing in this years game. I spent about 3 hours 2 nights ago doing batting drills and i didnt notice or see any difference with the LS.

What? I can't do jack if I don't use the left stick influence.

I like 2k10's contact batting controls, but the power swing feels odd to me. To make solid contact using the power swing, I have to swing a tad later than I do with the contact swing. Why is that? When swinging for the fences, isn't a batters swing longer? Wouldn't it make more sense to have to swing a tad earlier? Maybe it's just the new camera angle making it seem that way...

2k8 made hitting for power feel great. Whenever you smacked one into the gap or over the fence, you really felt it. In 2k10, the ball just seems to jump off the bat with no feel behind it at all.

I completely agree with the fact that power swings are so fast it seems like you do have to wait later on them instead of swinging early, and in 2K8 you said it exactly right when you made good contact you almost felt it, you felt that your timeing was perfect and that the ball was going either over the guys head, in the gap or 400ft outta the park, this years batting I still do not like compared to 2K8, and 2K9's was pathetic

I completely agree!
The swing stick hitting in this years game is horrible.
I am thinking of switching to classic hitting, I have not used classic hitting in years.
I foul off every pitch that I swing at using the power swing stick swing.
I have hit a total of 2 hrs in the 20 or so games I have played.

i am just syaing i dont feel a LS influence when i am batting in this game. ITs all about timing that i can see. Maybe your results have varried, but i went into the drills using Manny Ramirez and Andre Either. Pretty good hitters and didnt notice a darned thing.

I did notice if you got the timing down you can sometimes miss a pitch if its in a spot in the strike zone your batter is weak in.

That's on you, not the swing stick.

I've hit about 6 homers in 4 games with the swing stick and rarely foul a ball off unless it's with defensive swing. Obviously you're just not timing it very well.

a lot of stuff from 2k8 needs to be brought back.. game got a lot of unjust hate

the foundation in 2k8 had real potential

I want to redo my video that I made about revamping the swing stick, for I want to completely clarify which points I wanted to make, as well as give my impressions on the 2K10 swing stick and apologize for how I predetermined the swing stick was going to be when I ended up being pretty far off the mark.
