There was a release day patch? For what? If they don't do another one then this sounds too soon. I'd rather them wait and fix more things. Ronnie had said he submitted the list on Friday. No way they could have tackled that list in under a week.

Yes, there was a patch/update on release day. Clear your cache and you'll see it when you start up the game.

Ron said it only had some minor changes, but he didn't say exactly what was in it.

Last year, they also had a patch on release day, and then did one more after that....hopefully that won't be the case this year...

and what does that do top other games data on the system?

If they patched any my player issues then would that affect your current my player or would you have to start over with a new one to have the changes take place because I really don't want to start over with my player.

If you are playing MLB 2K10 now and are connected to Live, then you already have the realease day patch. It should've popped up the first time you put the game in.

But if you want to redownload it, you would need to clear your cache by going to your settings under My Xbox in the dashboard and going to memory, you should see the option there.

The only thing this does is deletes all patches saved on your 360. It doesn't delete any game data or saved games and each patch will be redownloaded when you put each game back into your 360.

I dont believe the one on release day was really a patch.

Yeah release day was a TITLE UPDATE. This will be the first actual patch. Happy they got on in and submitted quickly.

Yeah release day was a TITLE UPDATE. This will be the first actual patch. Happy they got on in and submitted quickly.

There really doesn't seem to be a difference from microsoft's perspective. I did some googling and it seems a patch and title update are the same thing. The phrase "title update" just seems to be the 360 term for a patch.

What's the difference? They both seem to be applied the same way over Live.

From my understanding, a TITLE UPDATE does not contain gameplay changes, just fixes to support already included game elements (online play, etc).

I don't think that's accurate. Look at all the gameplay fixes in Gear's of War's 2nd "Title Update":
