    Line-up suggestion?

As most of you know who read posts, I am new to baseball games and I have devised a sick line-up for my team the Kansas City Royals, but I do not know how to put them into order for batting. Can someone help?

    RF- David DeJesus
    CF- Rick Ankiel
    LF- Scott Podsednik
    1B- Alex Gordon
    2B- Chris Getz
    SS- Alberto Callapso (switch hitter)
    3B- Willie Bloomquist
    C- Jason Kendall
    DH- Billy Butler

I need four line-ups: vs Left-Handed Pitchers (DH), Left-Handed Pitchers (NL), Right-Handed Pitchers (DH), and Right-Handed Pitchers (NL).

    Thanks a lot

    Re: Line-up suggestion?

Your best hitter should bat third. This is the hitter that has the best contact and power balance.

Put the high power guys 4, 5, 6, in the lineup.

Your highest contact hitter with the best speed should bat first.

    Good contact hitter 2nd.

    I would do:

    Podsednik
    Callaspo
    Gordon
    Butler
    Ankiel
    DeJesus
    Getz
    Kendall

I agree with the above poster on the lineup.

PS - if you're a Royals fan, enjoy watching Ankiel whiff on any and all breaking pitches. As a Cardinal fan, I stopped watching his AB's all together. His arm is tops in the MLB though so he makes up for it.

Thanks a lot for that suggestion, worked out well in my online game against the Red Sox, beat them 3-0.

Ankiel is a beast man, he saved me a game winning run with that 99 arm strength in the later innings. I shocked the guy.
