need to give more access to the player cards!

Why cant they make it simple for the end-user. Before each game you can change your lineup...why in the world didn't they give us the ability to us the RS button to see the players attributes. This should also be available in the substitution window. It cant be that hard to to change those to a simple click through to the player attributes pages?

This is not a issue for anyone else? or is this a PC only limitation?

      +1,000,000

It is annoying not be able to select the player card in the lineup screen because the only information we are given there is the Avg vs. L/R. Not very useful if you are looking to add some pop to the back end of your lineup, or some contact/speed to the front and you are unfamiliar with the team's bench player's ratings--or their splits against L/R. The other issue for the lineup screen is not being able to do the same to the other team's lineup. Why do I have to add a second controller just to edit the CPU lineup/rotation? Maybe I don't want to match aces or 5th starters and want to see a particular pitcher for practice in Franchise. Very unintuitive.

As for player cards during the game, this can be worked around by going to the Box Score and going down the lineup to find out who is coming up next inning so you can warm up a lefty or righty--it also gives you access to their full player card so you know their stats against each.

For a game that prides itself on Inside Edge, there are some fundamental flaws for allowing players access to even the most basic of information.

Sort of along the same lines...

Does the game track, or even make use of, how often a relief pitcher has worked? Meaning, if I used him for 3 innings the last 4 nights, does he only have enough gas for a couple hitters tonight...is he tired or not.

I looked but don't see anything in game.

Cards? Since 2K made getting cards impossible if you touch the sliders, I haven't gotten a card since the first couple of days after release.

It's too bad, as I think it is kind of a cool feature.

            LOL...

They're actually talking about player's stats and ratings, called "Player Card" in the menus. not about achievements.

That's a good question. I'm not currently playing a Franchise but that is very important info. I read somewhere that it tracks it before the game, so you may be able to go to the bullpen screen and see if they are tired before you start the game. That being said, if you can't find it in the game, it may not even be a factor. My guess would be that if you aren't noticing a drop off in performance or stamina by using them night after night, then it wouldn't matter either way..especially since players never get injured in this game.

No doubt about it, 2k has some major UI issues here. The data is there, they just need to give the user the ability to access it when they need it.
