anyone else have issues with manually controlling the slide on steal attempts?

I can always get the result I want on normal baserunning, but on steal attempts many times he slides feet first even though I am pressing up on the left stick.

This happens all the time in MY Player, and its frustrating as I would be safe if he just slid in head first like i was trying.

Also, its real bad in the stealing/baserunning drills in My Player - over and over he will slide in feet first to 2nd and 3rd even though I am jamming the left stuck up..is this some glitch or something? very frustrating...seeing how steals are hard enough to come by anyway...but I need the drills to increase my speed. its a catch 22 if you will...

yeah i dont mean the cutscene, I mean like even in my player -- when you are supposedly controling your player the whole time...I cannot slide head first into second base for some reason.

I think it may have to do with their much ballyhooed "two man animations" - maybe its locking into the two man animation where the baserunner always slides in feet first.

all i know is this is maddening, because I would be safe on most of my attempts if I could just control my slide!!! please fix this 2k, man i hope its in patch #2...

Yep, I got this problem too dude. Every once in awhile I will be able to slide head first and im safe. But that is few and far between

I also don't like how the slides are really slow a lot of the time. Sometimes I would prefer to go really hard into 2nd and overslide the bag while grabbing it with my hand as I go by (especially to break up a double play), but instead it's just a really slow slide where I barely even make it too the bag.....kinda disappointing.

Not to mention the slowing down of the player when being thrown out. It is so annoying having a player running all out and then do this ******** stutter step while slowing down before getting to the bag. Soooooooooooo realistic.

This is definitely a consequence of the "two-man" animation.

I've also noticed that despite have a three step lead, when my teammate ground into the double play, I'm unable to break up the turn. It seems like my guy refuses to slide and just stays standing and even starts to slow down. It's frustrating because I've done it a number of times in "play ball" mode, but it doesn't seem to be able to do it in My Player.

Note: My player is rated at a 71 speed...not a roadrunner by any stretch, but I should still be fast enough to break up the turn.

LOL, I don't know how many times I've been picked off because of this. I can't even take a 3 step lead anymore because my player does that stutter step animation before diving back to the bag and always gets tagged out because of it.
