I think the problem is not the stealing mechanic because it works quite well, but the problem is the catcher's arm strength is overpowered (as well as the other fielders) and no that hasn't been fixed yet.

Using Joes sliders im 7 for 7 with reyes and 1 for 1 with castillo, so I dont really understand the stealing problem that is out there

Were they against pitchers with varying deliveries...

        because it makes a difference.

I dont really have a problem stealing either,i can snag a base with guys around 80-85 speed/accelaration with around a 80% success rate.I play with custom set of sliders too but the baserunning speed isnt turned up and i dont think anything else that would affect it is,could be wrong though.
You just gotta time it right, its a little easier off guys who pitch out of the wind up with men on base too(dunno why they do it) but ones with quick deliveries i just stare at them with my finger slightly on the button and the second they move i slide it off.

Not sure, it was over the course of about 5 games, so off all different types of pitchers

I feel as though the pitch speed you choose (which is under "human" yet affects both CPU and human pitch speed) and baserunner speed has great impact of this.

Since I use Marzzens sliders, which have pitch speed at 65, and baserunner speed at 55, I have had VERY realistic success stealing.

(I try not to steal on fast balls, so no 2-0 counts where a fastball is likely. I always take 3 step leads. I just let the feet first slide happen I dont try and do head first ones, since the game hiccups and it doesnt seem to help if you do. I only make attempts with mid 80's speed or faster.)

I used to have pitch speed at 75, and runner speed at 50.

Now with pitch speed at 65, and runner speed at 55, I do well stealing.

Is there any way to make the slide to third faster? It seems like everytime it's going to be close at third, I slide head first and it seems to be in slow motion

Yea jeffy i have noticed this too, right when you go into the slide it slows down,i stopped even attempting 3rd base.
I have also noticed since the patch, when the 1st basemen is holding you on,the first 2 leadoff steps seem to stutter,or go into slow motion, just like that but after that it starts running normal.Wierd thing is it doesnt seem to do it when the 1st basemen is off the bag.
