Its not necessarily that they field it too often...although they do, mostly the problem is that you smoke line drives right at the pitcher too often. Think about how often you actually see a line drive at the pitcher, not once every game, probably not even once every 10 games. Grounders sure, but not so many liners. Also i'd like for every defense to stop playing in vs basically any skill position player (CF,SS,2B) or anyone with any sort of speed as if they're definitely going to bunt.
