Leaving pinch hitters in game after having them pinch hit for a pitcher?

This might have been brought up before, but I have tried and I cant find a way to leave a player in the game after they have pinch hit for a pitcher in NL games. This is a very important part of the NL game strategy and baffles me somewhat how this could have been overlooked. Is there some way to do this or was 2k really that shortsighted?

Shortsighted, unfortunately. I think I have heard that they want to fix this in the next patch.

I wish they would allow you to set the opposing team's pitcher and line-up in the pre-game menu, as well. That is a holdover from 2K9. That, with the lack of easy to access menu to view the opposing team's line-ip, bench, and bullpen are part of several items that make me wonder if there are any real baseball game fans among the team.

I don't know how they could play their own game and not be frustrated by the same stuff.

Yes, I agree completely. It seems a bit strange that some of this wouldn't get brought up in a testing phase. Makes me wonder if there are true knowledgeable baseball people involved in the development and testing of this game. Here is to hoping that this stuff is fixed in the next patch, and to hoping the PC patch makes it out before the All Star break.

This was on the list of bugs from the 2K forums that we submitted to Ron2K.

So they are aware of this.

Im not sure however if it will or will not be part of the patch.

This is pretty annoying actually. I have learned to try to pre-plan a double switch to fix the problem. My biggest complaint is that I have yet to find a way to easily see which side of the plate the next few computer batters hit from. As of now, the only thing I have been able to see is to go into the box score and press down the right stick on each player.

That's all there is. Worse, when trying to decide if you should burn your best RH pinch hitter there is absolutely no way to see how many right and lefthanded pitchers your opponent has left in the bullpen. You also have no idea how left and right handed pinch hitters he has left.

So while you can go through the ridiculous amount of steps to get the info on upcoming batters, there is no function to se thebench and bullpen. That's just really bad.
