That is one thing I won't do, it doesn't feel "real" to me.

Re: My Player mode fixes
I originally played with the classic swing cause i didnt like the sticks........but i switched back to try and get used to them and now i love it. Dont get me wrong though i still miss my fair share of fastballs and such but the sticks are much easier to hit HR with. You just need to work with it and find your timing.Comment

Re: My Player mode fixes
It makes the animation look stupid, but the best way I've found to hit is to pull back for a power swing during the windup and just push up if I want to swing, not pull back and push forward all in one motion. I pull back on the stick just far enough for it to register (you can tell because the batter goes into a cocked position) then push forward like a normal swing.Comment

Re: My Player mode fixes
As the pitcher releases, right?
Also, to add on to the list, developers, please fix the CPU rigging our players to their advantage, such as slowing down baserunners when stealing, throwing fast pitches when it know we are going to steal, automatically picking us off when you go more than 3 strides, and making the controls backwards for a second on deep HR balls so we can't rob them. Also, this same problem happens with batting. I watched a replay where the ball went THROUGH the bat! I've seen MANY replays like this that ultimately ended in me striking out.Comment

Re: My Player mode fixes
BTW, has anyone played MP and experience any day-offs? (if you are a position player) And has anyone experience any line-up changes? (facing right hand pitchers vs. left hand pitchers)
I haven't yet for both in My Player mode.2018-2019 NBA Champions!Comment

Re: My Player mode fixes
You can pull the stick for a power swing any time you want. I usually preload mine cuz the animation throws my timing off. My philosophy is power swing and look for a pitch in a certain zone until i get 2 strikes. Then i switch to contact swing and protect the strike zone.Comment

Re: My Player mode fixes
I love the MY Player mode...its all I play. But it is deeply flawed. It just seems like they ran out of time or something as most of the flaws in this mode aren't flaws in the other game modes. The lineups never change....I use the Cubs and my catcher, Soto has now played in over 300 consecutive games. My backup catcher hasn't even had an AB. There's no injuries....none, zip, nada for any team MLB in nearly 2 full years. My Player is a 2B and I've never turned a DP with any other infielder although a couple of times I turned a 4-3 DP on a ball hit right over the bag....thats in nearly two seasons. Starting pitchers throw an incredible amount of pitches...so many that middle relief is for the most part, not even needed. Now I understand that using My Player means....no managing, GMing or team ownership but that being the case, you NEED to have the AI do that in a somewhat realistic way to make the game play out a season correctly. I'm not really expecting that to be patched but they sure better fix it for next year or I'm done with them.Comment

Re: My Player mode fixes
Can we all agree that no one has seen in My Player mode:
1) Line-up Changes (due to facing RHP vs. LHP, injuries, player performance)
2) Injuries (no one in any teams get injured)
These two are the major flaws that are keeping My Player mode to be perfect.2018-2019 NBA Champions!Comment

Also, the manager never pinch hits for the pitcher's spot if you are on base. But they will during simComment

Re: My Player mode fixes
1. Better baseruinning AI. Tagging up especially.
2. Days off for position players.
3. Back end of double plays for middle infielders.
4. Stuck camera angles during clutch moments sometimes.
5. Opposing catchers staying crouched behind the plate as I round the bases after a homerun.
6. Team homerun celebrations at the plate.Comment

My Player is fun, but it really needs an overhaul which I don't see coming in a patch.Comment
