    What Do You Do When......

The pitchers stamina gets reset to 99?

I usually switch teams and pick a guy they have warming up. Unless the pitcher doesnt need to be pulled (pitching a great game).

is there really a stamina glitch? I guess that's why i've seen guys going 10 strong with 140 pitches. 2K never ceases to amaze me.

When the glitch rolls the counter over, 99 = 20ish stamina. Then, as they continue to pitch, the counter bottoms out at 85. So, 85 should equal 0 stamina.

With this in mind, I don't really see the CPU leaving guys in too long. The CPU absolutely makes some suspect choices on when and who to sub in from the pen, but I find that to be more about the general CPU strategy logic and less about that stamina counter rolling over.

If I'm starting to beat up the pitcher I will switch teams and pull him earlier than the CPU would. I have only had the stamina glitch 2 time so far though and the pitcher is usually pitching a game worth leaving him in for.
        Gaming hard since 1988

I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.

The AI-decision making on when to sub NL pitchers makes me ALMOST not want to play NL games. The CPU will leave a reliever in at a crucial AB in the late innings, and then just sub him out to bring in a new pitcher to start the next inning. It's horrid....However, when you THEN play AL teams, unless you're able to get to a pitcher through a lot of walks, or runners on in a crucial situation, and/or have scored 4 or 5 runs in 5 innings than the CPU will leave a SP in until he absolutely implodes. At which point in time the decision to have subbed in the reliever is in vain because the damage has been done, and the game may be out of reach for the CPU....I believe the patch for this is MLB 2K11...

This part really bugs me also, as I've played all NL games. I thought about restarting my franchise to have the DH on in both leagues (if it's even an option), but your take on the AL side of it doesn't give me much hope haha.

I think a lot of the poor CPU bull-pen decision making is happening because of the 99 stanima regain bug.

The CPU "thinks" their starting pitcher is fully rested. And thus see's no reason to take him out.

              Same thing for releif pitchers.

Ron said they found the problem causing this bug. So the side effect of poor CPU bull-pen choices will likely be fixed by the patch fixing the 99 stanima bug.

As for NL games and poor CPU logic regarding pitchers batting in key AB's in the 9th, Im not so sure...

I have noticed it too. Hopefully something is done in the patch about it.
