Game Freezing Everytime It Downloads MLB Today Stats

I can't even play the game because I each time it loads MLB Today Stats on the starting menu screen - the game freezes.

Anyone else having this issue?

Yep, i believe if u hit B and cancel before it tries to load it works.?????

I tried to delete it from my xbox memory and hit B at the screen and neither worked. It's still freezing.

This is ridiculous.

Well I am mad about this but also relieved that others are having the same problem. Ugh why does this always happen to MLB 2k10 games and just yesterday I was talking about how I haven't really seen too many glitches like others say they have.

Haven't played yet today, but I saw this on ron2k's twitter

Aware of the issues with MLB Roster Update. Workaround it by logging off XBOX Live, and the logging in after booting up.


I think this happened the last time 2K rolled out updated rosters or MLB Today stats. Hopefully this won't be happening EVERY time.

This technique has been working for me, as soon as u see the Rosters download ( i use my edited rosters by default) mash B before it begins MLB Today and it drops to main menu.

just got back from softball practice and turned on the game and mlb today loaded like normal they must have fixed it

I must say that I find it particularly annoying when after paying $60 for a game to find all these bugs this long after the games release. I guess I understand that there will be bugs from time to time however, every one of my other XBOX 360 games seem to work w/o any issue at all.

I don't understand enough about programming to know why this would happen, but, at least in my opinion, this simply shouldn't be an issue at this point, should it?

Am I being unfair to 2k to complain about this? Perhaps others with programming experience can explain why and how this comes about. Maybe if I understood it I wouldn't be quite so bothered by it. It just seems like 2k customers are being taken advantage of...am I incorrect? Do other games have issues like this, maybe even worse? I don't know.... I just know THAT OTHER GAMES i HAVE WORK FINE & that I feel that after paying $60 for anything, I have the right to think it's going to work as it should.....
