My Player Problem

So I finish my first season with the Pirates and after the season I request a trade to the yankees. I sim through spring training and try to start the 2011-12 season and for some reason it is forcing me to watch the Pirates opening day and it still says I'm on the team. I'm not able to play or anything just watch. Has this happened to anybody?

No, but I did request a Trade to the Yankees from the Blue Jays after a very slow start when I previously won the World Series. I requested a Trade a a month before the All-Star game and it worked, I was on the Yankee's roster and all but it did not make any headlines or did it show up in the Transaction Trade Announcements.

This is just one of the many glitches/problems with this overpriced paperweight. Many other people have had similar problems after being traded. If you didnt back up the file you're SOL, sorry man. I have requested a trade in the middle of the season and it went fine. Then in another my player i requested it in the middle of spring training...i was unable to play any spring training games with my new team.

In summary, you have to restart because it will never fix

The glitch occurs when you request a trade before a key game. I've requested trades in spring training and mid season with no problem.
