My Player- Catcher help

I just bought 2K10 and I could use some advice.

When playing catcher everytime there is a Popup the Pitcher goes into Ultra Ninja mode and runs and fields it. Is there anyway to call him off? Its stressing me out.

I bought off Steam so I have no manual and I can't find a downloadable one so if the info is in the manual I apologize and still would like a rsponse.

No way to call him off. If you get into the catch circle quick enough, that usually makes other players stop. But I have seen the same thing as a shortstop, and have the pitcher come charging out for a diving catch in shallow center field.

Will my catcher ever be fast enough? Every single pitcher is as fast as a Jamaican sprinter. Unless, the popup is two steps away the pitcher will always get it I've had them pass me and catch a popup next to the backstop.

Some say that if you pre-load a throw to a base, the pitcher will let you have it. Hope that helps.
